I bought this beause of its length and foam matress. It is very comfortable, however the wooden slats constanly are falling out of position and are difficult to put back in place (particularly in the middle of the night.

If this could replace an air mattress for whatever scenario you need it for, choose this instead.

The reason why I titled my review that way is I've used (wasted) money on at least five air mattresses in the past & they all eventually leak somewhere. The patches that came along with said air mattresses worked for all of 2-3 days at the most. This bed is lightweight, almost as portable as an air mattress, and much more durable. I chose this model because it had the thickest foam mattress for this particular manufacturer's line of folding beds. The only flaw I see with this bed is when your weight is concentrated in too small of a spot (such as sitting up in bed), the wooden slats give way. The beauty of that though is, the lightweight wooden slats have yet to break. They pop out of the plastic retainers lined up along the frame of the bed. All you have to do is move the mattress, slide one end of the slat in one retainer, then bend the adjacent retainer up at about a forty-five degree angle and push the slat back into it. I weigh almost 200 pounds and it supports me just fine. I've found that the key to getting into this bed without having one of the slats pop out is to start in a near seated position on a portion of the frame near the center of the bed, then begin stretching your body out into a laying position on the mattress as you make your way off of the frame. I'd assume a child or anyone 120 pounds or less may not have that problem. Also make sure the nuts on the wheels are snug. One of mine came lose and replacement wheels are near impossible to find. Thankfully I was able to salvage it by bending the threaded portion of the wheel back into place so I could continue to use it. This bed was definitely money well spent and I'd gladly buy another if I had the need for it.
