CIA Masters Collection 6 Piece Measuring Spoon Set

I lost my antique Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons, when my home burn to the ground. I have looked every, compared many Measuring Spoon Sets, and read ALL the Reviews, and was very pleased I choose these very sturdy Measuring Spoons. They were a little heavier than expected, but not too heavy for Arthritic hands. They have accurate measurement, with handles long enough to get down inside a tall jar. I love how they nestle inside each other for saving space, OR have the option to hang them on the wall. I also like the two-tone color with shiny mirror surface on front and back, with a satin finish emphasizing the engraved measurement on each spoon in both teaspoon and mL conversions. Just wish they also had the pinch and tad measuring spoon with them. I also love the heavy-duty Stainless Steel Connector, that keeps them all together. The spoon and handle are all one piece with no seam or welding, however the handle does have an insert for décor reasons, that might be a place for yuck to get into ... so far, that has not been a problem in cleaning them. ANY cook would be please to have these. Shipping was little slow ... I ordered several products, same day, and received the other products three days earlier. Packaging was appropriate, and postage was reasonable.

You'd be foolish to shop around for a measuring set that might cost a little less. This one is worth every penny you pay. Let me tell you why:- A set 6, not 5 or 4 like so many others. It includes the 1/2 tablespoon.- The spoons are weighted for good control and balance.- The bowls are deep to make it easier for both wet and dry measures.- The measurements (in both US and ML) are engraved, not painted so they will never wear off.- The spoons are long enough to get into any jar- The spoons are long enough to use with a mixer or over hot batter and not get burnt.- The edges on both the bowls and handles are precise but smooth - no accidental cuts- The spoons are beautiful: polished and brushed steel.- They come on a nice loop, nest beautifully together, and can be taken apart if your preference.They have a LIFETIME guarantee (who does that anymore?) so the manufacturer must be confident these will be around forever, even with the most serious of bakers.And with the quality, beauty, and nice Culinary Institute of America card, these would be a wonderful gift for the new bride.I am really happy with my purchase.

A set of measuring spoons is not exactly a major purchase. Nevertheless there are a few important attributes that distinguish a good set from a mediocre one. The spoons should be durable, sturdy, made of high-quality material, clearly labeled, easy to clean, easy to use, and accurate. This set gets high marks from me in all respects. They're made of heavy-gauge, polished stainless steel, have a nice, solid heft in your hand, and are of course dishwasher safe. There's no ledge or offset where the bowl attaches to the handle, so it's easy to sweep and level when measuring a dry ingredient. And as far as I can determine, they're accurate -- a tablespoon of water spooned onto a digital scale registers 14 grams as expected. I recommend them.

I have 3 sets of these because after getting one set, I didn't want to use my old measuring spoons. Solid construction, look good, and the long handles are great for getting spices and such out of tall jars. Same brand makes awesome measuring cups too, although those are a bit pricey.

I wanted a high quality, rust-free product that would last so I chose this over plastic (again). The ring keeps them together to find them and the variety of measurements is terrific. I highly recommend this as a long-lasting kitchen staple.

I love these measuring spoons. They're shiny, the markings on the handle for measurements are easy to read, the round shape of the bowl makes it easy to measure and to pour ingredients out of, they clean up well, the long handles are sturdy and make it easier to hold and maneuver. I took them off of the holder and have them in a small crock on my counter for ease of use and because they're so pretty. I like them even better than my Cuisipro with their longer shaped bowl.

These are quality measuring spoons. They have good weight and the handles are longer that the 'usual' spoons. They are well polished inside the measuring area of the spoons and clearly marked with easy-to-read capacity on each spoon. The Ring that holds them together have a nice stiffness, while still allowing easy removal of a spoon, if you'd like to remove one or more from the ring. They are a bit pricey, but based on the heft, handle length and overall build quality, I feel that they are worth the asking price.The polish inside the measuring area was one of the main reasons that I chose this set over others. Dry, powdery ingredients slip right out. Sticky or oily ingredients also slide out with ease. This is especially important with the smaller sizes.

These are amazing quality. 18/10 stainless steel. Very durable. Very long handles. They look nice and work great. They were actually less expensive than lesser measuring spoons. And you get the "extra" spoons (1/8 t, 1/2 T) that usually don't come with higher end sets. I spent hours trying to find well designed, high quality measuring spoons. They come with a life time warranty and I am very happy with my purchase!One potential negative: the numbers are stamped not engraved. I am a little worried they will eventually wear off like my plastic sets have. However, there do not appear to be any negative reviews about that. And they should have a lifetime warranty. So, hopefully it won't be an issue.
