3-Pack Insect and Butterfly Habitat Cage Terrarium Pop-up Butterfly Enclosure (3 x 15.7 x 15.7 x 23.6")

I have been helping monarchs for the past few years. Until I really got into it, I was using a homemade habitat. A friend of mine who introduced me to this past time had a few netted habitats that were pretty awesome. Since I have done this now for several summers and am doing it full time in Florida, getting "real" habitats made sense. In searching the internet, the Restwell offerings looked like what I wanted and were offered at a good price . When they came, I was TOTALLY pleased with them. They popped up easily and held the plants (and cats!) perfectly. The zippered opening allows easy access for cleaning and adding food. The solid plastic side allows me to view what's happening with the cats so the disturbance to their space is minimal. I highly recommend these. The ONLY reason I gave them a 4 star rating for sturdiness is that when I needed to move them, the plants inside were heavy and caused the bottoms to sag. Not a big deal but just something folks should be aware of.

I started raising monarchs here in Ohio. I love these enclosures. I started out with one that I realized was too big for the space I had (believe it was the 36”?) which would be good if you want to put a potted milkweed plant in it I guess. I prefer the 24” one and the smaller one. I’ve just ordered more so I have a few extra on hand for next year. Easy to clean/wash in a stationary tub or just with a hose and these come with a nice little paper with info on how to raise butterflies etc.

I loved these. They make my raising of Monarchs so much easier and carefree. I just fill a vase with the stem of the Milkweed that I find a caterpillar or eggs on, and they stay fresh until they are eaten. I have had the same stem in from egg to growing caterpillar. If they eat it all I just replace it with another stem. Always an unseen egg or little caterpillar comes in with the stem and this house make is so easy to clean. Etc.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I really like these enclosures for raising Monarch & Swallowtail caterpillars. The mesh is fine enough that even the newly hatched youngins' can't escape and other predatory bugs can't get in, yet it allows for good airflow. The zipper door is very handy and the clear plastic window is great for viewing too.

We love this product as it is great for putting in potted plants and having the caterpillars on the plants. When they get ready to go into a Chrysillis then normally they will go to the top and hang. In fact we currently have 15 and all but 3 are at the top of the cage. They love being protected from birds, Lizards and flies. The best part about the cage is the opening from the front. We have a couple that open from the top and those just aren't as easy to use as these the side open. We got 3 last year and are still using the but need more.

I use these enclosures to raise Monarch caterpillars. The weave of the net is very tight so it helps keep even the smallest predators, like ants, out of the enclosure.They are also great for a safe place for the chrysalises to eclose.They have been a game changer for my success raising the caterpillars. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

These are perfect for what I needed. They are taller than some others I have seen and can hold an entire plant (actually I can get four in there) and let the caterpillars munch without having to continuously give them leaves. I highly recommend them

These are wonderful!!!!!The Painted Ladies are now in the cocoon stage.I have 2 Monarchs cocoons, one that just went into the J shape and 3 that are still chowing down.I'll be checking on the "J" on every minute or so today. :) I missed the other ones. Once they begin to form the form the chrysalis, it's completed within a few minutes.The caterpillars/cocoons and I are extremely happy. :)To anyone who will listen to me, I will highly recommend they purchase these!
