I store my batteries between use at about 40% then charge them to 80% just before use as mentioned above. I bought one anyway to use this battery in my EOS 1D X II. Turns out, it worked perfectly in my R3. I photographed a lacrosse game with it, taking thousands of photos, and the battery indicator did not drop below the halfway mark.
