Complete kit, powerful motors, great for beginners.
Installed on 1996 Jeep Cherokee 2 door. Motors seem strong, not underpowered. There are no instructions as many people have commented, but this kit will make sense once you lay everything out. For the money it's actually very complete. Some recommendations: This kit will pop a fuse on you occasionally. Put the fuse holder in a place you can access without tearing your car apart. It will only happen if you max out window travel and hold the button for a few seconds, so be mindful of that. Another possible cause would be shorting on the body or the spade connectors included. I made sure that would not happen by covering the contacts in electrical tape before connecting them. This kit also comes with covers for the female ends of the connectors to prevent shorting on the door. Kit comes with 10amp fuses, I run a 15.Also while installing try to make sure the motor is not going to rattle against anything and that the gear will not come off the winder. Some zip ties and adhesive weatherstripping fixed this for me.Many people have mentioned differences in speed between the driver's and passenger's side windows. This is due to the driver's side window being used more. While you're in the door, spray some silicone lube on the window rails and move it up and down a few times. When I first started the install my passenger side window took two hands to get all the way down. Now both windows cycle within a second of each other.Overall this is a fun weekend project for a beginning DIY'er practicing on a beater and I would recommend this kit.

Omg cheap.
I will be the second reviewer that pleads with Amazon to stop selling this kit. Here is my review of the last three kits I have installed as I posted on the Spal review.I Installed the Deluxe Spal kit in hopes it would work better than the last two similar kits.First off, I'm a licensed contractor, fabricator and machinist. I am well versed in custom auto installations as well and have built a few ground up hot rods. I'm confident this kit was installed properly and all precautions were taken to give it the best possible chance for proper function. The Spal deluxe kit was and is by far the best engineered and best performing of all I have tried but it too failed to lift my windows at even a remotely acceptable rate. The hardware was acceptable and the kit provided everything necessary for a standard installation. The Spal was the only kit that did Not come with switches.Spal is made in Spain and the fit and finish of the pully drive and motor housing is fantastic! It's very nice.Performance in a truck or van however, is not acceptable.Down is fast and smooth. Up is boggy and extremely annoying. By the time it reaches mid point it sounds like it is going to release smoke and fail all together.Keep in mind that with the hand crank the window moves freely and easily through its entire range. My conclusion is that there are simply no cable drive power conversion kits that are going to work for my work van.If I could find an OE power regulator I would go that route. The previous kits I have tried were the AutoLock which worked acceptable for the better half of a year before slowing to a useless speed. The Auto Lock had the best hardware package with heavier mounts and better quality isolation grommets and screwsIt also came with the nice flush mount, back lit switches. The AutoLock motor and pulley drive was made in China and cheaply assembled. The next kit I tried was the XO Vision PW203.Total junk. They did not even make one rotation of the crank!Hardware was same as AutoLocks.Lastly the Spal and it to is getting boxed back up for return.

These things work great!!
This is one of those products you order because they are cheap and then cross your fingers. Very mixed reviews and I read most of them but I took the chance and ordered them. They arrived soon enough and I opened the box and saw all these parts, and started trying to find excuses to return it. After studying everything including the "instructions" I figured out that It was like a menu from an oriental resteraunt . You get one part from the blue plastic tree and one part from the black plastic tree, and pretty soon it all makes sense. They try to make these fit so many cars it looks daunting. Here is the deal: You take off the window crank and the door panel and find a blue gear to fit over the crank stub, then fit the drive end of the motor setup over that gear and find where the motor will fit without twisting the enclosed cables and still has room between the door panel and the door. Then add the braces to the motor to hold it in place. I'm so glad I went ahead with the installation, If you don't have mechanical sense call an uncle or someone because the instructions are too generic to cover all cars. I installed mine in an 06 Ford E350 and had tons of room and the motor lifts the window in factory PW time. The price still scares me so I ordered a second set for parts if I ever need them.
