A lot different than the reviews, but still great!
Keep in mind that all of these reviews are for a different light. I purchased the 600 Watt, which I assumed would be dimmable and would definitely have the “Bloom” and “Veg” switch like the rest of the reviews state for the 300W-Dimmable. That was not a valid assumption as this 600 Watt DOES NOT have multiple modes and IS NOT dimmable. With that said, plants seem to love this light. So far, it works well for Veg. I have the light 21 inches from the canopy (still a young plant) with no stretching. This light is very pink (red spectrum), so I am thinking it will work well for flowering as well. It was Veg that I was worried about, but it seems to do a great job. I will update this review if it doesn’t work for flowering—but I think it will. Overall, this is very well built and runs cool. Some heat, but not too much. A fan is necessary when using a HPS light, but you can probably get away with no fan while using this LED light. As of now, I highly recommend this light. Click “Helpful” if this helped so that other people know not to expect the dimming and Bloom/Veg switches!

Bright, slight fan noise (not abnormal, but you can hear it, at a constant rate).
Bright, slight fan noise (not abnormal, but you can hear it, at a constant rate), lemon tree seems to like it.I like this light to help my lemon tree grow indoors.I was looking for something to provide light to help my lemon tree get through the winter inside. This fit the size requirements for my intended use. It is currently on a timer (not included) to come on for 8 hours a day. It has been stable and my lemon tree is still growing without any signs of needing anything else.I am happy with this purchase. Things to be aware of, it producers a purplish magenta light as shown, and at first I wasn't sure I would like that type of light in my living space, that is why I have it on a times to come on when I am not around. I still see it on the weekends and have gotten use to it's color. It is not a white light. It does seem to do what it is intended to do, and is made well.

Great for growing plants of all types
But heats up the room very fast. Do not use it in your living space if you can avoid it.

Great value for this light
I’m doing a late winter grow and needed a better grow light than what I had. I put this light over plants about 3 weeks old and so far they are loving it. I have a 2x2x4 grow tent and the light is perfect for two plants, both in their own three gallon pot. The heat hasn’t risen above 77 degrees, but seems to linger mostly about 76 and I’m sure that has everything to do with the fan on the light. So far I have not needed to add a humidifier. I believe the light will be sufficient for the flowering stage when they get there. I gave a 4 star on the sturdiness, because of how the light wanted to hang. I had to rig it to point in a specific way by using a clothes pin to hold the cord in place. So far, so good and I’m happy with my purchase.

maxisun good grow lite
I was skeptical about the price, but reading reviews, and took a chance, My bet paid off. Very simple to hook up, very bright ( wear a good pair of sun glasses, wrap arounds are best.) It makes very little noise, the fan is all i hear. I have mine in a very small area, and there is very little heat hardly to detect. I thought a 600 watt was to much , but my few plants are loving it,,,I have seen a difference in 3 weeks for sure, size and smell, of my plants, very worth it.I have told my friends about this light, they are getting ready to buy this one. My next purchase will be a nice tent, as soon as I get rid of some junk in my room... Thanks Maxisun you did good

Misleading. Great lights. 100% recommend.
Misleading. I bought the mu-600 and everything was great. Purchased the mu-1200 based off the pamphlet that came with my mu-600. Received my 2, mu-1200 and different pamphlets that were printed before my mu-600 and were completely different. I was expecting 5 IR LED on my mu-1200 and they only have 2. They are great lights. Just don't know why they would print one pamphlet with one set of info and another completely different. Both the mu-600 and mu-1200 were manufactured within days of each other and are different. Maybe the company will make it right and send me 2 of the new mu-1500 and ill return the 2, mu-1200. Or at least give a discount on future purchases. Other than this, I love them and 100% recommend to anyone looking for a great led light on a budget.

Good light for the price!
I purchased the MU1200 watt model and I love it. I've only had it a few weeks but seems all is well. I attached some pictures of actual wattage draw which is pretty close to the written details on it. Each picture is either just either one of the switches on or both. I'll update after a season.Edit: May 2020 I have used it for a couple of different grows and it works well! I have it in a 24x48x60 reflective indoor tent. It is a little small to reach end to end over 48" though. Wattage hasn't moved from new. Best light for the price. Have grown/flowered/fruited tomatoes, jalapeños, ornamental plants and cannabis in an indoor tent under this light solely. No issues at all and would reccommend so far.

It’s good for the price.
I got the 600w, it’s not as red in person as other reviewers have stated! It’s pretty awesome but it puts out a mean amount of heat to be LED I put my hand under it after I unboxed it & it was HOT the tent went up a whole 10 degrees after leaving it on for an hour.
