72'' Classic Felt Black, Fabric by the Yard

I put this around a projector screen to reduce reflection. It is just stiff enough, but not very heavy. Worked for what I need.

I'm a bit of a photographer and needed a way to help reduce glare when shooting through windows. My office building has a great view of downtown so its not uncommon for me to hunkered down in a conference room around sunrise with my camera, tripod, and now this felt. I've cut the felt down into usable sizes (aprox 2'x2', and 3'x4') and have completely eliminated the glare from florescent lights within the office.

first off the color was a nice dark black not a grayish as it kinda looks in the picture which is what i was wanting, the thickness of the material was solid, you definitely do not have to worry about it ripping it was about 1/16th of an inch thick, and of course the value you cant beat, try to go to hobby lobby and you will pay at least double

Thinner than what I was hoping, I could tear it with my hands if I really tried. However, certainly good enough for a costume or project that won't see tons of re-use.

I bought this felt to make freestanding fiber pots and to line wrought iron planter boxes. The coconut husk lining was hard to get (here in Hawaii, of all places) and thios works very well indeed--my plants are never overwatered now.

Not sure if it was because it is black, but this was way stiffer and cheap feeling versus the yelow felt I purchased. Was disappointed at the feel of this felt.

So far I've used this once as backing for a machine embellished flower. Ellen Ann Eddy in her book, "Thread Magic Garden", suggested using it this way. It works very well. I expect to use it again soon for a variety of machine embroidered flowers.

Great material! I got this for my preschool classroom to use for something that we were going to put on the wall and attach velcro to. It works great and is super soft and a perfect material for crafting!
