Came back and ordered it again
This is the third power supply I've installed in my old computer I built years ago. I reordered this one again as I got four years out of the last one. The computer I installed it in is on 24-7. The current price is great. No complaints.

If you have an open back plate for PS this is a good choice for the 500 watt range
Using this PS now to power the computer to post this review. Sadly I got this to replace the one in my old DELL PowerEdge SC420 server, but the placement of the plug housing was just stuck out a little making it not fit without modifying the case a little. So I just put it in this DELL Optiplex GX620 and now I can use that video card I bought not knowing it required 500 watts to run properly. Lucky for me :).This unit comes with +4 power for Pentium 4 boards, molax and sata power also FDD. Notice that the picture shows the cooling fan which means that it is upside down making the power plug on the left side not the right when installed. Runs very quiet. If you have an open back plate for PS this is a good choice for the 500 watt range.

I bought this as quality. It isn't!
Judging by other reviews, maybe I got lucky. I bought this power supply here -- who knew?? -- and it lasted for six years. This is a plain vanilla setup -- very far from a challenging gamers' rig. Then again, I can't believe I ordered a new power supply by mail and didn't buy one locally to get it immediately! However, for the last year, upon rebooting, I would often get video distortion requiring a restart. This may have been the failing CoolMax. (The video is built into the motherboard.) Then last week, this psu stopped running with a loud pop! I bought an EVGA 600 w rated 80 Plus. Apparently, it produces less heat, definitely a good thing. Should I add a star for the CoolMax lasting six years? There definitely are a lot better brands out there.

One annoyance but otherwise awesome.
The Power Supply works amazing and got here really quick. My only problem was that although it was listed as compatible with the old Dell PC I was installing in, it did not fit the case. I had to use steel cutters to widen the gap in the metal on the back of the case to allow the power cord to be plugged into the supply. Aside from this everything was perfect.

But I dont care about things like that as long as they work really well
I used this to bring my Old Dell back to life. The place where the power cord goes in was a little offset, so I took some needle nose pliers and bent the metal on the back of my Dell Computer so that I could access the power plug. It worked perfectly even though I had to mar up the back of the PC. But I dont care about things like that as long as they work really well. Thanks for an A+ computer power supply box.

Works as advertised!
1. Works well with m-ATX Mini Tower style Case with bottom mounted power supplies. (This is what sold me initially.)2. More than enough power connectors for extra case fans.3. Power Supply fan is not exactly silent. But, not loud enough to be annoying.4. Over all I would recommend this power supply to any one who is looking for a decent priced well made power supply.

Good warranty!
It broke less than a year of usage. Coolmax honored their warranty and sent me a brand new replacement promptly.
