PS3 MLB15 The Show - PlayStation 3 PlayStation 3 Edition

After seeing so many negative reviews, I thought I would chime in. For many years, I was a 2K guy. Unfortunately, we all know what happened there. So, when I decided to get a baseball game I turned to The Show. The graphics deserve an "A". I was pleasantly surprised by the overall graphics. The players, even the managers actually look like the real deal. The stadiums look legit. What really sells it for me is the detail. Every player has their unique stance or wind up. Even down to their follow thru on their swing is spot on. The players movement is extremely fluid, and it doesn't feel fake. Overall, the graphics are first rate. As far as the gameplay, it feels good. It's smooth, and doesn't feel jerky. The difficulty is just right. The batting can be challenging, but not difficult. The pitching is easy to figure out, and makes you really earn your outs. I haven't played online yet so I can't comment there. As far as franchise goes its good stuff. Still has create a player which is cool, but my only gripe about the game is in the difficulty trying to find the player once you create him. Still, its a very minor inconvenience and the player can be found. All in all, if you're looking for a good baseball game, don't hesitate to turn to The Show.

The game is in excellent condition, arrived well packed and neatly. I have no problems with the game stalling, this game has no scratches on it. I am enjoying this gave very much.

This series is hands down the best baseball game out there for consoles, and MLB The Show 15 doesn't disappoint. I just love this game. Gameplay is smooth, rosters are very current, graphics are outstanding...... I could go on and on. If you like baseball, this is the game for you.

UPDATE:FAKE REVIEWS HERE BY GAME PUBLISHERS ON AMAZONApparently they hired a marketing company to sock puppet myriad reviews. Tons of 2 word 5 star reviews, no other items have more than a couple.That aside, this game is unplayable if you play online. Lag, freezing.... You will have to hard reset your PS3 numerous times and this game even causes my PS3 to whir and click which I've never seen.Horrible detestable game and company.Caveat emptor,Here's the no-joke breakdown of online play:50% of the games will have major lag, mostly on baserunning which will be impossible25% of the games will just freeze, you will then have to hard reset your PS310-15% of the games will just disconnectSo you're left with 5-10% of games that you can play clean.This is all before your disc develops a concentric ring near the edge and every time you play the PS3 will literally whir and click before freezing.Ignore the bogus, one line, 5 star reviews posted by the game devs.Horrible, detestable game.

My grandson has played baseball on teams since he was 6 yrs old. He is currently a star on his high school team. He and his friends come over now and then to play on my big screen /PS3...Since i got this........theyve moved in......Its a fantastic and realistic game.

After a long hiatus from buying any video games, i decided to try my luck on this game.PROSSo far, after playing for a couple of months, I have to say this game has been everything i want it to be. Its fun, borderline addicting, and sucks up plenty hours of my free time.Road to the Show has by far been the most fun and enjoyable mode in the whole game. Your always trying to devolpe your player, and after some playing time, i found myself having a connection with my whole baseball journey, weather i was stuck in the minors for months on end, or if i made it to the big leagues only after a month or two in double a, i really enjoyed the whole journey.Exhibition games are a blast too! Theres really no bad thing about them, i have plenty of fun making the Diamondbacks a all-star worthy team and defeating every team the comes in my way!.Also the postseason, and home run derby modes are fun, but aren't really super enjoyable.CONS.First of all this is my first "MLB The Show" game, so i had no idea how the game was played or any of the general idea how to play. I was expecting some sort of tutorial in the beginning of the game, but found nothing. I started several games and lost miserably because i simply had no idea how to play. I really wish sony could have a tleast added s optional tutorial for new player. Luckily after a couple of day of playing i eventually figured out the basics, but at the cost of a lot of frustrationAlso there are a good amount of really small things that bother me too, The music in the game becomes extremely repetitious after only a few days.-The announcers are stale, boring and repetitive.-Game lags arent frequent but do occur every now and then.-The inability to edit player is also really annoying, For example, in the game Justin Turner is clean shaven, this somewhat bothered me, but when i tried to edit his facial hair, i was never given the option to do so. Other players body size and mass is really off, They made Miguel Cabrera look obese and they made David Peralta look like a tree.SummaryFor 40 bucks i don't think you can really go wrong, i can't say if this is any better than last years since i never played it, But for what its worth, I have had endless hours of fun.

I bought this for my husband as a surprise. He loves it. However he gets frustrated with it a lot because when he goes to swing the controllers sometimes it's off. I think its a bug with the game cause all 4 of our controllers do this. He has a lot of fun with it, but sometimes he needs to walk away if he gets to frustrated with missing pitches.

Great game. Excellent graphics, great hitting and pitching mechanics. Weird progression glitch in franchise ruins the mode. Every pitching rotation resembles the Braves of the early 90's. Unrealistic.
