An inexpensive alternative to devacurl
Let me just say that I spend a lot of money at Sephora. The "no-poo" type co-washes are new to me since I bleached the heck out of my hair and this is something that I need to get into to give my color longevity. I bought a small sample bottle of Devacurl from Sephora for $10 or so...once I was out I looked to see what a full bottle would cost. I guess because co-wash type shampoos don't excite me like lathering shampoos, I wasn't sure why I needed anything fancy and to shell out upwards of $20.I decided to look on Amazon and ultimately chose to purchase this one. It was packaged well and I really like the pump style of this one. It's mildly scented and it feels similar to what I am used to. I can't really tell the difference between this and the more expensive product. And to be honest I am pretty low maintenance with my hair at the moment, so maybe that makes it hard to see a difference. I just wash, condition and air dry...no heat based products at the moment, mostly to preserve the health of my hair.Anyhow I'm super happy to find an inexpensive alternative.

Cleans, conditions, and saves my color.
This cleansing conditioner is basically a shampoo and conditioner in one. There is no lather and it feels like conditioner but it cleanses and it conditions at the same time. Saves time and leaves my hair moisturized and my color intact. I have bright red highlights that wash right out with harsh shampoos so I try to use the most gentle products I can. This one is great for when I don't have a lot of styling products on my hair. It gets my hair clean and conditioned without weighing it down. When I have a headfull of styling products, I do feel I need a regular shampoo and separate conditioner but in general, this Not Your Mother's Clean Freak can get my hair clean and hydrated in one step. I do wish it came in a bigger container. It is only 8 ounces and I would like 20 or 24!

rave rave rave
I recently had the opportunity to try my first cleansing conditioner product (not this one) as part of a consumer research survey. I was absolutely HOOKED and tried to make that product last for a very long time, since these tend to be rather expensive. When I ran out, I began my search for the "same" product as the research project sent me an unlabeled item that may or may not even be on the market currently. I tried this Clean Freak cleansing conditioner and was absolutely thrilled because it seems to be similar if not the exact same product I tried. It is truly excellent and while it feels a bit weird if you're used to using traditional, sudsy shampoo products...it is so worth it! I'm in my 30s with coarse, super thick, mostly straight hair. I HAVE to wash my hair every day and I know it's supposed to be better for your hair to skip days but I just can't. So for me the cleansing conditioner craze has been the ideal solution. My hair is softer and more manageable, and doesn't get greasy with this product like it would if I used a traditional conditioner daily. For the record, in case you haven't used this before, it takes the place of shampoo. Don't use traditional shampoo and then use this as a conditioner. It's like next gen "all in one" and works beautifully. I use it 2-3 days per week and traditional shampoo on the other days. I will definitely buy this again. Although the 8 oz bottle is small, it does last a while even with hair longer than shoulder length. Good product and makes me also want to try more in the Not Your Mother's Line.

Don't use too much
I really like the smell of this - kind of cucumbery, which I find relaxing. It is critical that you don't use too much. I have used a cleansing conditioner for 5 years and usually go a week between 'cleansing' my hair. Often I can go longer. The first time I used this I had the same problem other reviewers described - my hair got greasy within a day or two.The problem was I was using several pumps. I have SHORT hair. I need ONE pump. It looks cute, clean, and shiny. lf I do two or three (like I did with my last cleansing shampoo), it looks greasy quickly. Also, there is NO NO NO lather on this one. My last didn't have lather either, but I felt SOMETHING in my hair. This one goes right through and feels clean. But when I finish rinsing (carefully) my hair looks great.Bottom line: Go lightly on the product. It works better that way.

Best conditioner for my coarse / wavy / thick / dyed hair
I've tried everything under the sun, to condition & tame my thick/coarse/wavy hair...from Wen, to hot oil treatments, to salon glosses, and beyond. But this is the only conditioner that works for me ~ it repairs/coats my hair so that it waves nicely while air drying (since that's how I usually dry), it protects my hair from flat irons or curling irons, it detangles, and it beats the humidity/frizz. I've tried cheating on this conditioner, but my hair just ends up tangled and dry and I end up coming back.I don't get that greasy feeling others have remarked on, but maybe that's because I keep this conditioner away from my roots... I wash my hair every other day: shampoo only the roots (and let the suds work their way down in the shower), then condition the rest of my hair with this Clean Freak Conditioner; let it soak in for a minute while I soap my body etc. before rinsing out.I like this product so much, I've started to try others in the line. I use their Kinky Moves Leave In Conditioner on days when I know I'm going to wear my hair curly or wavy. My husband uses the [Kinky Moves leave-in] too, and it enhances his curls.

Good product, but not a great value for money.
Good product, however I had to use quite a lot for my medium length hair and it only lasted about 4 washes.

Does the job nicely
Smells amazing! Like sour candy. This stuff is very gentle but is pretty good with cleaning. My short curly hair feels like I used regular shampoo and conditioner. I still have to use an oil afterwards but that is normal for my hair. I wish it was a little more product, but I didn't have to use much to get a good coating in my hair. If you try this, put it in your roots and scrub a bit, then brush through the rest of the hair. I did that and I got much more bang out of a smaller amount of product.

Decent product but not for me.
Small bottle for the price and it just didn't seem to do much for my shoulder length, colour-treated, wavy and often frizzy hair. Smells great though.

Good cowash
Great for cowashing. My hair felt softer right away and it took an extra step out of my shower routine. Just wish the bottle was bigger.

Bottle is tiny, does not help with frizz at all but does leave hair soft. Can't stand the smell.
