Cute concept, poor design.
Cute idea. What drew me in is it was tall enough for our whole family to enjoy. When it arrived, packaging is cute, directions are simple enough. You must use an electric pump though, with an electric pump it took maybe 15 to 20 min to inflate. After fully inflated and the base filled with water it was time to test it out. The hose connection area doesnt seal on perfectly leading to small leak. The tail end where the water comes out promptly flops down defeating the purpose and usage of the height (and it was fully inflated). Because the tail flops down when in use, people using it must stay close to the inflatable to get wet and it unfortunately only really is tall enough for kids when flipped down like that. The water spray part at the end of the tail sprays in weird, not meant to be crazy directions making it difficult and looking poorly made. In concept this is great, but your money can be more well spent on something else.

Broke during first use
We got this for our niece for his birthday, she is obsessed with ALL things mermaid. We set it up per the instructions. Filled the bottom with water and then connected the hose to let her, our other niece and nephew play. At first it seemed to be working perfectly. Then the entire thing filled up with water.... Apparently the part inside of the mermaid tail that the water ran through busted and as soon as the whole thing filled up then one of the seams on the outside busted!!! And that was the end of the tail.... She was heartbroken and so were we but there was nothing that could have fixed how badly it was messed up!!!! Still looking for another one or something to replace the tail for her.... Very upsetting especially for her as a 5 year old!!!! I wouldn't give it a star at all if I didn't have to..... Very disappointing!!!!

Not Well Made
The size and spray angle of this sprinkler were great. I set it up next to a baby pool so my kids could cool off and play outside. I purchased a pump to use with this, as it would obviously take too long with a manual pump. It took about 5 minutes to inflate. The first problem was that it had a leak somewhere. It would be completely flat after a few hours. The next problem was that the hose attachment doesn't seal and it leaks a lot of water out of the back. I tried moving the hose, reattaching looser, nothing worked. We attached the hose tonight for only the third time using this and heard a huge pop. The seam had completely split and water was no longer sprinkling out, just pouring out of a huge hole. A patch wouldn't fix this. It's too bad, this had a lot of potential, just not well crafted.

Nostalgia!
Stumbled across and ordered this on a whim pretty much out of pure nostalgia. Now that we have it set up my kids actually kind of love it, and it reminds my husband and I of the types of things we used to play around with all summer when we were kids. We don't have a pool but it makes the yard feel super waterpark-y. Was packaged really nicely and looks just like the photos too.

Loved it!
This is way cooler than I thought, especially for how cheap it is. Initially, we tried pumping it with a hand pump but it took a long time but once we switched to an electric pump, it was set up within a minute. From our experience, you have to also use the little round plastic piece that comes in the box, and place it where the hose connects to the mermaid, otherwise, water seems to leaks from the hose.Highly recommend this, it takes a minute to get your head around setting it up the right way but it is so worth any effort. Cute design, huge, and really fun for kids and adults.

It’s a No and returned for us.
The inflation itself was not difficult. It did take nearly an hour with a camping electric pump. I can’t imagine how long a foot pump would have taken. Aside from the lengthy inflation the connection at the hose inlet leaked heavily and sprayed water every from the back. The mermaid tail sprinkler coverage was limited as well. The plus is the tail stood upright and sturdy once inflated and water was used to weight the bottom.Good idea and concert - terrible reliability and design.

did even get to use it for an hour
We bought this as a Christmas present and didn't use it till summer. I broke the first time we used it and filled up with water. it really didn't have good balance even before the tail portion broke. I was a big bummer because it is really cute looking!
