I'm actually really happy with this tent
I've been eyeing this tent up for awhile and after watching tons of YouTube reviews, I decided to get it. Used it last weekend with zero issues. I'm 5'10" and still had room at my head and feet when I laid down inside the tent. I stayed dry during the light sprinkle and the ability to hang the tent up instead of using a trekking pole made it feel more spacious inside. For the price I paid, I'm extremely happy with this tent.

For the price it is great
I really like this tent. I use it for solo backpacking and bikepacking. It is easy to pitch with the accessories provided. Has enough space for me and my stuff. I did not have any issues of tent rubbing to my face which seems like the case for some trekking pole tents (I am 5'11"). It held impressively well under 6-7 hours of rain without any treatment (sprays, seam sealing etc). However, after that rainy night, I realized small amount of water built up around the corners and that is the reason I am giving it 4 stars. I am not sure if it was due to condensation though. I will try to ventilate better next time. Still a great deal for the price.

Great cheap tent
Easy to set up. Very lightweight and compact. I’m 5’11” and fit fine in the tent. Only problem is the trekking pole is directly in the way when trying to get in and out.

Great backpacking tent for the price!
Used several times in the back country of the NH Whites, easy set up and quick take down, lightweight, dry protection.I did spray surfaces and seams with water repellent as recommended. So far, very happy with performance.

No regrets. Buy this tent!
This tent is worth way more than what it sells for! I’m an Eagle Scout / former Scoutmaster with lots of nights logged in tents, hammocks, under tarps, etc. I ordered one of these Trekker 1 tents as a budget option when I’m camping (or at least tenting) alone. I liked that it set up with trekking poles, so I didn’t need to carry the weight of tent poles, it packs down really small and it’s pretty light weight. I didn’t expect much, but I have been blown away!I saw some reviews that said these tents leak; before I ever used it I went over all the outside seams with sealant (inside seams were already taped) and hit the entire tent with silicone waterproofing spray. Dry as a bone. I don’t know how waterproof it was when I got it, but I’d recommend waterproofing ANY tent you buy as a rule, so this was not a big inconvenience. Check out my photos, I’ve been using this tent for a year now, real life, on trail out in the world, not in my back yard. It’s plenty of room from one person inside the mesh with a good sized vestibule for gear or a smaller dog, but you won’t have room inside the mesh for anything extra (in my photo, the big pile of gear in the vestibule area is actually a 70L pack). With the teepee shape, the walls slope pretty good, I’m 5’10” and my head and feet are pretty close to the walls. If you’re over 6’ this won’t be comfortable for you at all. I have room to sit up inside, but changing my shirt while sitting up is almost impossible. It’s for laying down, and that’s about it. The only issue I’ve found is with condensation, since half the tent has no floor, any moisture in the ground will also be inside the tent when the vestibule is closed, this is especially bad in the spring and fall when the weather changes dramatically from day into night. The solution is to make sure the mesh is pulled wide open. DO NOT follow the set up instruction video made by RCP, the tent will not ventilate. You need to use sticks and pull the guy lines UP and out, not straight down to the ground (check my photo, it’s a little hard to see since I swapped the bright orange guy lines for black paracord, but you can make it out). This process is a bit fiddly and it might take a couple tries before you figure it out, but once you get it it’s pretty straightforward. Once you get used to the shape of the tent, there are a hundred different ways to set it up, depending on the situation. It’s not an “ultralight” backpacking tent, I wouldn’t do the AT with it, but it is definitely light enough for casual backpacking. It keeps you out of the weather and out of the bugs. Ive camped in “sand fly paradise” and made it through relatively unbitten (while sleeping that is) This is a legit tent for $60! You could find higher quality and higher price but you you WILL NOT find a better deal! After this, I’m an RCP fan for life! I plan to get their other tent models as well, if they’re like the Trekker 1, I will have a good selection for the same price as one “high end” tent. I would recommend using a trekking pole with clip locks instead of the twist-lock kind, it will make things a lot easier.

more than just a backyard tent!!!!!
Ok, I was so depressed with the camping season being voided with the Covid shut downs that I bought a few tents in the last few months. Well, four to add to the collection. I used them in my backyard to practice my bushcraft skills and just get any from technology, albeit a few yards away. I have used this bad boy instead of sleeping in my bed in the house on more than a few nights, rain and cold here in the Pacific Northwest. I slept like a baby with my wool blanket roll. Sure it was only like 35 and 40 degrees. But at no point was I even chilled. I was snug and a bug in a rug and dry as a bone (enough cliques for you?) Even in the Washington rain, I was dry, with no night moisture at all. I just drive my hiking stick into the grass and pop the tent up in minutes, even with some wind. This is now my go-to tent of the more than 12 I have in the collection. Hey, don't judge me!!! LOL. I might just keep it set up in the backyard so I don't have to set it up everything I come home from work, not like it is much of a chore. It is light, a tad over 2 pounds and compact, bread-loaf, and better constructed than tents I have that were three times the price.

A spacious one person light backpacking tent.
I was looking for a light, easy setup and waterproof tent, and was drawn to this model by price, weight, reviews online; etc. I was impressed by how small it packed down, and also with the quality of the included stakes.I waterproofed this when I had it set up (I do this with all my new tents upon first erecting) with an aerosol waterproofing product.Setup was about 5 minutes, so no worries there. I was concerned that it wouldn't stay upright with the trekking pool, but it was solid, especially with all the corner tightly pegged out.I spent a very comfortable and dry night outside in the rear yard - very light drizzle. I am somewhat claustrophobic in some 1 or 2 person tents and it did take me about 30 mins to settle in this one, but once I did, it was lights out for 6 hours and I slept well.Next test will be out in the wild somewhere - it's coming with me. Can't wait!

A great value tent.
Over the years I've always gravitated towards hammock and tarp camping in my local woods. With a multi day hike planned through the Scottish Highlands I thought it best to take a trekking pole tent instead. This arrived in under a week shipping from the U.S.Upon arrival I thought it best to give it a trial run in my local woods first. Pitching is very easy taking less than 5 mins the first time. Now I obsessively Seam seal and waterproof all my gear regardless of what the manufacturer states. So I took my homemade silicone sealer and some Fabsil with the intention of giving it a good going over in situ. This being the UK, within minutes of setting up it started to rain, and it rained all night thwarting my sealing plans.Taking refuge inside I was pleasantly surprised that it stood up to a night of rain straight out of the bag.As is common with single wall tents, you will suffer condensation. Initially I thought some of the moisture was rain making its way through but it was just condensation and the bathtub floor remained dry thought-out. Ideally you want to setup somewhere with a slight breeze. If your in the middle of an evergreen wood with zero breeze, condensation is inevitable unfortunately. Just don't touch or lean up against the walls and you'll be fine.Plenty of space for 1 man. The vestibule is a good size to store your pack with enough room to boil up some water on the gas stove for a brew as long as you are careful. All in all I'm very impressed, great bang for your buck and a great addition to anyone's outdoor kit.

Incredibly easy to set up AND put down
The tent is well made and with lots of space for one person, I'm very satisfied with the product, it also arrived way earlier than expected.

Erstaunlich viel Platz
Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Light in the pack and on the wallet!
First impressions of this surprisingly light and compact tent are, wait for it, impressive! Given the budget price, you could expect a lot less from such one person, and I'll say it, ultralight tent. There's evidently sufficient room for anyone 6 foot or so to stretch out without fear of doing likewise to the tent walls. Furthermore, the spacious vestibule provides ample room for a pack and boots. I can't say anything about how it fairs in the rain or with condensation, however, there's an excellent guide included with the tent and I intend to apply waterproof sealant to the exterior seams as recommended. It's quick to setup, packed up is no larger than an American football and presently weighs less then either my pack or my sleeping bag. Can't wait to put this tent through its paces. Glad I ignored the critical reviews from snobby YouTubers, in the flesh this thing is as good as any other tent I've owned and is worthy of a few aftermarket waterproofing mods IMHO, as are most tents.
