Armour Products 21-1633 Etch Over N Over Stencil, Western

FYI: I did not use these for "glass etching" and didn't realize that was what these were advertised for. I used them for stencilling with chalk paint. IDK if the chalk paint screwed them up, but can't imagine glass etching liquid being any less corrosive. They lasted once; when I pulled them off, they broke. I was committed to doing 4 chairs with the barbed wire, so I rigged it back together and did it. Next time I will read more about them!

I used these to make wedding favors for my daughter's beach wedding. This is the first time I've ever etched glass, and I was very pleased with how easy it was. These stencils multiple times were used multiple times. I didn't experience any seeping under the stencil, but I did rub them down firmly. The only complaint I have is that the dolphin stencil tore (the nose and tail are very close the edge and didn't withstand my not-so-gentle handling.) On the plus side, my husband ordered a second set (along with the other sea set) so we were able to get a variety of etchings. I would definitely order again. I think I have a new favorite hobby! Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas this year ...

These were too small for what I needed. Somehow, I thought they were larger. My fault for not reading the discription better. I kept them though as I'm sure I can use them for another project. Overall, good quality.

Just not quite what I was expecting. It seemed that it would be easy to work with, but it wasn't. I was trying to paint the little palm trees on bamboo, thought it would be easy because one side was sticky, keeping it from moving around. However, after painting and taking the stencil off, a lot of the paint came off as well. So I had to do my best to sand the bamboo down and repaint the area. All I did was basically made a mess. I think it would depend on what you are using the stencil for. It might work well only for glass etching. I tried using it twice on the bamboo, but both times I ended up with a mess and more work.

Bought these as a first-time etching project. So far have only used the mustache and not sure if i would actually ever use the rest. I etched a small glass using the Armour Glass Etching Kit and it worked almost perfectly. I say almost cause it was my first time and I wanted a "deeper etch" but for the first time doing this I have to give both products an A+ on being able to use them.After i etched the glass, i was able to remove the stencil and put it back on the plastic sheet for next time. I don't know but I am seeing a lot of use for this in the future.

These worked well for my project. They are a little flimsy but I had no issues using each of these multiple times in the same day to help complete a stencil project. I used a very small artist paint brush so I didn't need painters tape around these as I worked but if you are in hurry or have a larger brush you may want to. Also, I didn't offload my small brush and had no "bleed" issues for these.

I used these to add some fun small touches to my newly remodeled bathroom. I used craft paint with the stencils, and it came out pretty much how I wanted it. The stencil was very easy to use and cleaned up like a dream! I like the fact that it's durable and reusable.

Nice little stencils. I used the seahorse and shell which have cute detailing. I washed them with soap after using, dryed them and reused them. Each time they were sticky again. I saved them for future use.

Easy to use, Would purchase again.
