The RST RearSightTool Universal Field Sight Pushers are the handiest tools to do sight adjustments on the range. Their compact design allows them to be stored easily on your range bag, ready anytime for fast and precise rear sight adjustments without the need to disassemble your semi-automatic handgun. Thanks to the unique Interchangeable Tip System, these devices can be configured for different kinds of sights depending for how tightly they are fitted. Soft Steel Interchangeable Tips are designed to mushroom or bend off to avoid denting your sights. Tips made out of brass that are gentle against the finish of your sight and work best on easy to move sights. The Reinforced Interchangeable Tip allows the adjustment of very tightly fitted sights.

Got it to use on my glock
Got this specifically to use on my Glock 19 it works but I had to kinda Jerry rig it to make it work, if you tighten it down on both sides like you’re supposed to and you start to push the sight out you’re not gonna be able to push it very far because the other metal piece is going to be right up against it now if you get a little piece of wood or something to put in there on the frame so the other side is farther away you will have room to push your sight Farther out we’re completely out

It is a good tool for what it is intended
It does what it says it will do. I used it to remove sights and install sights on my Glock 21 and Glock 19. The brass end did mar the finish on one sight. I might have been able to prevent that with some tape or with some more experience. I have used this for minor adjustments on a friends glock and SW also. It is a good tool for what it is intended. Remember to use a little oil (I use ballistol) on things before getting started. I have also found this to be a good tool to use to put the finishing touches on a sight install. Once the sight is captured in the slot you can use this to center it. Just remember to have a little patience and above all "Read the instructions on their website" .

NOT FOR SIGHT CHANGING, JUST SLIGHT ADJUSTMENTS!!!
The description is not clear but this is ONLY for minor adjustments. It is not wide enough to completely push off or on sights. Also, doesn't work on sights that are beveled on the sides. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it. Now, if you have sights that are square on the sides and need a compact adjuster to take to the range or tool kit, I'm sure this will do the job. Now I'm getting ready to do what I should have done, and get a universal pusher for about $50.

Worked fine. Gets the drift started and you can punch ...
Used this tonight to remove rear sight on two Glocks. Worked fine. Gets the drift started and you can punch it out the rest of the way with a brass punch and hammer. Then installed some metal sights into the glock that were very snug. Used a little ballistol as a lubricant. Got them close to center, then used this tool to fine tune the adjustment/centering. It worked great. My biggest criticism would be the course thread but the company addresses this on their webpage.. still functions as designed. As far as the negative reviews regarding mushroom or bent tips.. I just used the steel tip but it worked just fine, and this was moving the very tight fitted metal sights on my glock. Use a little oil on your sights so the tool doesn't have to work so hard. Other negatives were that they bent the metal plates. I could see this happening, but it shouldn't if you don't over tighten it. It just needs to be nice and snug against your slide, you don't have to crank it down as hard as you can and shouldn't. OVerall, good purchase for the price. Works but could be improved a bit. Glad I got it. Will follow up if I have any problems.

Not large enough to effectively use.
I have a standard Colt 1911. Only way to make this fit is to remove slide. Must take the gun apart, adjust, reassemble, check sight, disassemble, adjust, reassemble, etc. Just too much trouble to effectively use.

Good Build Quailty but Liminted Usefullness
Build quality is very good but the device did not have the power to adjust the sights on my Kimber Ultra carry 2 and Pro Carry 2 45 ACPs. It did work on my Ruger SR9, Sig Sauer P938 and Colt MK IV Serious 380. The end is just to small & fragile for the 45s. Needs to be a larger diameter as both the steel and the brass ends distort before being able to adjust the rear sights. This is obviously a problem known by them as they state in the directions that this can happen. My suggestion is to turn the replaceable ends from larger stock leaving a shoulder so that they can be screwed tight to the end of the adjusting screw spreading the load over a larger surface. The adjusting screw should also have a finer thread in order to have more leverage. I am back to placing the guns in my bench vice for gun work and using a brass drift to adjust. I was hoping to use it at the range to fine tune the sights on my various hand guns and not have to haul a clamp down vise with me.

A 3-Star item at best.
This sight tool is OK if you don't have to push real hard. The problem is that while the steel construction is very strong, it is also very thin and flexible, thus it tends to spring out while you are torquing down on the sight.Combine that with a fairly coarse thread on the screw and you get a pretty big jump on the the sight when it finally does decide to move. It's a volley ball game to get the sight to land in the spot that you are looking for.Combine that with the fact that the seller bugs you for feedback and you get a 3-star item at best.

great price! great product!! I used it for front and back.
Wow!!!! This product works great!! I looked at all those high dollar sight tools, and decided I would buy this one and try it. I'm glad I did. I used it to put new sights on my xdm. 40 4.5 I just had to angle it a bit to clear the front sight spring guide . It comes with copper and steal push fittings. It comes apart and stores nicely. The price is awesome for the use. It works flawlessly!!! The xd is one of the toughest guns to sight, I used a wrench to help the tool out and it held together the plastic is tough!! ( the handles are plastic) Very good tool that I'll have for a long time, I hope this company comes out with a front sight tool around the same price!!
