GaiamYoga Mat -Colour options available

It’s a really pretty mat and I was super happy with it at first! I’ve had 2 yoga mats in the past and my last one was so so slippy and stretchy on my floorboards that I really didn’t want to make a mistake with this one, and was planning to get a much more expensive one to make sure it wasn’t going to disappoint, and it was going to last (have spent about £60 on 3 mats in last 6 years so thought I should spend a bit more for something that will actually last but I told my partner I wanted to get a £100 mat , manuka, and he thought I was crazy) Sadly, I wish I’d done this. I like the texture, however it’s really noisy? Whenever I move, and very distracting. It also stretches in downward dog/warrior poses which I find really annoying and distracting. I wanted it to be all purpose too, so I could do my HIIT workouts but it’s slipping all over the place when I do burpees etc which is really dangerous so I end up having to use an old mat for this. Wish I’d gone for the jade or Manuka now :( maybe it’ll improve in time as I’ve only been using it a couple days! But yeah, I’d recommend investing a bit more if you’re planning to use it each day. In my (surprisingly extensive) research of yoga mats I read a good yoga mat means you shouldn’t even think about it at all/know it’s there- this one I am definitely constantly thinking about how much it is annoying me 😆

Is not slippery from the underneath part, but kinda slippery the upper part. Design is pretty and easy to use.

Good mat for a yoga newbie like me. Nothing too fancy. Does slip a bit when you have sweaty hands / feet, but keeping a towel nearby during practice always fixes that problem for me. Then again, I'm not that experienced and I'm not doing any head stands or more advanced poses. The color is great - subtle, but bright and fun. Bought it with the blue mat bag from Gaiam. I like both products.

Ordered this yoga mat as I love yoga and also loved the idea of green on one side and blue the other. Got to admit it though, its not that thick and not that big. I did a yoga class today and fell off both the top and sides of this mat. I cant fit my body on it and I am only 5ft 7. I would recommend not buying this and looking for the 'large' size mats. Very pretty though and nice and sticky.The seller has not stated the dimensions or thickness of this mat which is something to be wary of....(Good kids size)

Great mat, really pretty and useful for yoga but I do find it can be a little bit slippery later. Otherwise great

A nice yoga mat with a lovely pattern. Considering it came from US, arrived in good time. Got it because my daughter ordered one (a 5mm one) and have not been disappointed.

The product grips underneath well but when sweating in hot yoga it can get quite slippy.
