Nice overall book on using satellites.
While it gives a good review of the hobby of communicating through the satellites it does not go into any depth of the actual modes and frequencies of the available satellites as i had hoped.

Excellent primer
Great intro to amateur satcom basics, but also supplemented with a lot of practical detail.Recommend for all, Tech through Extra class. Also suggest using:- cellphone app ($) or heavens-above.com (free) to predicts satellite pass times, azimuth, and elevation- circular polarized antenna

Probably the Definitive Resources on AMSAT Communications
This book is very well written and very thorough. I found this book both introductory and exhaustive, offering both a depth and breadth of materials on the subject. I think it this book provides a wide overview of AMSAT for uninitiated hams looking to extend their skills to satellite communications.

Amatuer Radio SATCOM!
A must have, up to date book for doing amateur radio SATCOM. It was a great help to me in preparing to do amateur radio SATCOM. I succeeded in contacting the LEO, SO-50 FM repeater satellite soon after reading the essential parts of this book.

Disappointing
Older satellite books, such as those for Oscar 6 and 7, were far better.I had hoped to gain useful information to setup my Icom IC-9700 to work satellites, but this book just leaves me cold and was a waste of money. Ask on one of forums, you will receive a lot more useful information than you will get from this book.

This is not an operational guide
This is an exaustive guide to understand what and how Ham radio satellite are & work, and give many info about Amsat activities. This is not a operational guide, but for sure give a correct information to becoma a good and correct Ham Sat operator. Many internet links integrate this book, very helpful on my opinion.
