All this is is a 1973 German mark worth roughly $1.00. It is sealed inside the round metal ring with a screw on either side horizontally. It does look indeed gorgeous. The whole thing is worth less than $10.00, I am guessing; in raw material, if that. To be fair, a 5 Bundesrepublik Deutschland mark.
