SnapRest The Instant Comfort Armrest Compatible with Dodge Ram (2013-18 ONLY)

The thing is that this does work in putting your arm at the right height and it is comfortable. However, it's such and obvious tack-on that it is an eyesore if you're like me and maintain a neat vehicle. While you order a vehicle-specific fit, that is only for mounting as there is no custom-fit style and only generic colors available. In case of the RAM models, none actually match any standard factory interior materials. I feel if at least there was true color-matching, the SnapRest would not look so out of place.The mounting is clever, but incomplete and insufficient. There's not enough substance to it to be able to replace the function of the door pull. On a RAM, I guarentee you will pop it off when you close the door. There's not enough to the mount for the lateral force, which could be improved with a small design change. It's not really possible to grab it as the instructions suggest either to avoid this, and my hands are big (XXL glove). So your only option is the "heavy duty" mounting that simply has you screwing the wedge in place so it doesn't pop out. I don't know if I will try this or return it.For the cost, and less particular, this will get it done and why I give it an honest 3 stars. For me, it might be worth the $300 I was quoted by an interior shop to have the factory panel customized for the same purpose but in completely matching materials.

Thought I would really like this when I bought it but i quickly found that I like my elbow on the window sill much more than lower down where this product sits. Thats just me rather than anything wrong with the rest. If i did like my arm lower this would make it more comfortable . Also on a month long trip i don't know how many times it would pop of and land on the seat when shutting the door, or fall to the ground as I was getting out. For someone who commonly uses the door rest it might be worth the money but for me it was a waste of money.

Arm rest add on works great when foot is closed. Bet comfortable when driving.However one has to gently grab the pad when closing the door.Pad needs a bottom clamp style part underneath to hold in place firmly.I tend to find a "McGuyver" modification to make the pad lock into place without screwing into the door panel.

Solid product. Puts the armrest where it should. Super helpful for long drives and all around comfort. It could have been designed slightly better aesthetically to follow the curves of the door panel. The way it mounts isn’t super secure, but once you learn how to grab the door somewhere else to shut it, it becomes no big deal. Overall I am happy and would recommend this product.

Added the arm rest support I needed. Very simple to install and properly fit my truck. Only drawback is that you have to pull the door shut some other way, as the device becomes loose.

Extremely comfortable. Only thing that I don't like is I cannot use it to close my door. If I try it pulls right out, but I have a ram 3500 it's a big heavy door also.

I installed quick in seconds, but when I got out of truck and pulled it, it fell off. So I reinstalled it and pushed up the piece under it to make sure it will stay secure. Is nice to rest arm on and padded just right. A little contour to it to match door lines better would be nice, but overall is a nice item.
