A.D. The Bible Continues: The Catholic Viewer's Guide

The series is excellent but it is made more so with the nuggets of info in this guide. I found it particularly helpful to know which aspects of an episode where from Scripture and which had been "added" by the script writers. The "before you watch" and "after you watch" sections for each episode are also useful. I like the challenge of some of the "Go Forth and Evangelize" sections. Having a closing prayer section makes this book a good tool for groups to use.

Actually, this makes sense of the video which, because the series is muchly fictionalized, is hard to relate to the Biblical text. The characters are identified, and the main theme of the episode is explained. I'm glad I purchased it to watch along with the series.

I was hearing so much of the the A.D. series on the radio and was so happy to see a guide book to follow the script and to get us thinking. The book arrived well within the Delivery Date, was well packaged and in excellent condition. I was thrilled to have this book to read as I follow thetelevision broadcasts and contiplate them over the days that follow.

This book is really helping me understand what I am watching on the show, and reading The Acts of the Apostles in the Bible. I highly recommend this book.

A simple yet effective study aid. This really helps in understanding who was who in the series and how the series relates to the scriptures.

Useful for Catholics. Helpful maps also. Make the Acts more understandable for the lay reader. Could be used with Lenten groups.
