Purchased this to use with my  Rowenta DW2090 Effective Comfort Auto Shut Off Cord Reel Steam Iron with 300-Hole Stainless Steel Sole Plate, 1500-Watt, Grey . It fit perfectly and works great. Now I can iron on interfacing without having to use a pressing pad. I don't have to worry about burning or melting anything as the metal plate does not come into contact with what I am ironing. Love it and highly recommend it!

It fits my iron really well, but, since the plate is so thick, it takes forever to get hot, so not so nice when you are in a hurry and just need a touch up. It works great when using steam, and giving it time to heat up. I wanted to upgrade from the more generic looking one ("top hat" is the brand I think) that I've been using for years but was getting worn out. I now prefer the top hat one over this one.

I have used commercial iron with the iron guard all my life, can't iron without it. I was so please to see that they sold iron guard for my home iron no more commercial iron so happy with this product. Iron guard protects your cloths, you will never see a shine on black pants you can’t even burn the fabric.
