Do not purchase this. I have 1" size plugs in my ears for years, thought this was a good deal. My ears got infected, swollen, blown out do to these plugs. I thoroughly washed them and left them by my sink, they have a stain on them that literally stained my counter so bad bleach wont take it out. Imagine what they leaches into my lobes, not only that, but where they touched the skin behind my ears became inflamed and extremely irritated. I had to endure a month of pain to get rid of the effects of these because of these jokers of body jewelry guys. DO NOT PURCHASE. the price isnt worth the pain. I'd sue if lawyers weren't so damn pricey.

Hey I mean I guess you get what you pay for. These are very light weight, and I'm not sure if actually wood either. They almost seem to be coated with something because I had a major reaction to these on both of my ears. They have swollen up, are very itchy, and now have started to flake. It could be that I'm allergic to whatever was on these, but it isn't very fun. Thought these were legit wood but I will say there are better out there. Spend the extra money and get some real, solid wood ones.*update*After contacting the supplier, they told me that there was some sort of oil on these. They would not tell me what kind exactly. They just said to soak them in alcohol. It took about 2 weeks to finally heal up, which dropped me down nearly half the size originally. It was miserable. Recently I was able to size back up and try the alcohol to clear the oil, this not only didn't work, but started removing the stain off them. I then washed with warm anti bacterial and wouldn't you know, 3 days later I'm having the same reaction. I've NEVER had a reaction from wood, and is my preferred material. Steer clear of these and find something made better.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! The red set bled red die all over my sink and stained it. Anything with that much die in it I don't wanna put in my ears. The tunnel from the darker set broke in the first week and the plug did something to my left ear where it is now swollen and itchy.

Fit perfectly. It’s very frustrating when people do not know the difference between inner diameter and outer diameter.These are sized correctly based of the outer center saddle… so if you are 1 inch, buy 1 inch with no worries.No ear infections, no drying out, no split or swelling wood.I’ve had plugs for 20 years, and experienced tons of issues. The right jewelry and hygiene are key.

Of course you get what you pay for. I assumed wood is wood! (I believe the varnish used on the wood is the issue) Less than a day after putting these in, both of my ears and the area around them began to swell and blister. I have had gauges for 17 years and never had a problem like this. Now I have had them out for 3 days and they are slowly going back to normal, but unfortunately I will have to size down due to the issue. Very disappointed.

I’ve had a pair in for about 2 weeks now and it’s not that they hurt or anything but today I went to spin them around (since they’re new to me and didn’t want them to set up) and noticed blood on my fingers. Checked the other side and sure enough same thing. I then attempted to take them out but because of the material it was painful and they wouldn’t budge. Was able to move them enough to see that I’ve got small blisters and possible an infection. Sometimes this is normal, but I’ve had my ears gauged since 2007. Going to go through the painful process of removing them from my ears later because I don’t want them to become worse.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASESo I’ve had gauges since 2013 and never had any issues, even with cheaper gauge material. I purchased these thinking it would be fine but within a couple days they were severely swollen/itchy and started to have this scaby rash behind my ears. I kept them clean and put ointment on them to ensure no infection would progress but within days they were severely swollen and infected. I had discharge dripping down my neck constantly and the pain I had was sickening. I decided to take them out and within hours my 9/16 shrunk drastically shrunk. Thankfully they are all healed but will never be able to have gauges again.
