Ordered to replace much older ones which had become unreliable and noisy. These arrived quickly, they’re easy to set up, and quiet. The triple pack are good value for money. If like me, you have trouble setting a digital timer, then I can recommend these timers.

This set of three timers is super value for money but it is a mechanical setting rather than digital.Setting the on and off times is a bit fiddly as the time setting is a bit difficult to see. Also there are little tabs which need to be depressed or lifted into place to set the on/off times. These are ok for nimble fingers, which I don’t have.Unfortunately I had to return them and got a prompt Amazon refund.My advice? Nimble fingers? Go for it. Great value! No so nimble? Forget it, you’ll need some tweezers, a bit of luck and a magnifying glass to set it.

I have been using this sort of timer socket for years, on a 4-gang extension under my fish tank to automate various aquarium lights. These sockets are fantastic if you need a lot of timer sockets in one place because being slimline they will happily fit alongside each other on the same extension cable. I much prefer these sort of manual timers to the digital ones. These are so much easier to use. Simply set the current time, pull up the switches where you want your device to be off, and plug it in. Yes the switches are fairly small, it's not a problem if you have reasonably nimble fingers or fingernails of any length, otherwise they should be easy to manipulate with a small screwdriver or biro. Much easier for me than trying to remember how to operate a digital timer with menus and unintuitive buttons and internal batteries that go flat.
