It works great!
I purchased this sight tool to fix my front sight on my SKS, because the previous tool I bought got the elevation stuck at the bottom and it stripped the tool because it couldn't reach. When I got this tool I was able to get the elevation unstuck with no problem. The windage adjustment works great also with the option to keep it on while shooting is a plus. Compared to the other single piece tools, this two piece is so simple to use and I didn't need to file anything down to make it fit. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a sight tool for their SKS/AK rifle.

it's good and bad
Great tool for windage but for elevation it doesn't have the hole for the sight post to go into. Had to do it myself. Then it worked. But if you don't want to bother with it get the Tapco tool

I highly recommend.
This tool is AWSOME!! Front sight on my WASR was stuck after trying multiple tools and hammering punches and sockets this moved it immediately. I highly recommend.

Works!
SKS/AK front sights can be very difficult to adjust. I have bent several other sight tools but this one actually makes adjusment possible.

Bought elsewhere, solid steel, good product
First, I would like to clarify that I did not buy this on Amazon, since I found it at a local store, and I used this for an SKS.The design is ingenious, but it is more so because of its simplicity. So simple, in fact, that if I had the time (which I didn't) I probably could have made it with a drill press and tapping set.One thing I have learned is that you usually get what you pay for, and that is very true here. The elevation tool worked perfectly and feels like solid, hardened, steel; it is not soft steel like the cheaper (pun) alternatives found here. As it is, I already removed and reattached the sight post for cleaning. No marks on the tool. When adjusting the windage, just make sure the two screws holding the blocks together around the sight are on not only nice and tight, but even as well to help your tool last longer (though I didn't find any damage to speak of after using it; the blocks are also made of steel). It is true that you can leave the windage adjustment tool on your SKS as you sight it in, so you don't waste too much time just putting the tool on and taking it off between shots. I will suggest though that if you moved the sight a bit too much while sighting that you make sure to loosen the adjustment screw on that side about a full rotation before you start tightening the screw on the other side. This is to avoid pitting the two screws in a pushing contest and doing nothing more than damaging the threads. As I said, I want this tool to last as long as it can, so I will use it, but I don't need to abuse it.
