The new I Series Subwoofers from Incriminator Audio were designed with the entry level consumer in mind. Rated at a very conservative 300 watts RMS, the large voice coil and magnet structure of this line of drivers give entry level a new meaning. Other entry level subwoofers are designed with cosmetics in mind, hoping to prey on inexperienced users, but not the I series. It was designed strictly with performance and functionality in mind. The consumers money isn’t wasted on flashy parts and useless lighting. Instead the I series owner is getting a reliable, strong, solid subwoofer that is very loud and produces clean sounding tight bass that one would expect to hear from a much higher priced line of subwoofers. The I series line of subwoofers is offered in 8”, 10”, and 12” models and all have the option of dual 2 or dual 4 ohm voice coils.

I wanted deep, loud bass in a small ported box at about 300W RMS to match my amp. I put this sub in an Atrend 8SQV ported box wired in parallel (2 ohm load to my amp) and it's getting about 320W RMS - I used a multimeter and a 50 Hz tone to properly tune the gains to the right power level so i know I am not overdriving it. Right out of the box I knew this was going to be perfect for my install, but after I broke it in the bass just got louder, deeper, and stayed tight like an 8 inch woofer should. I'm not trying to flex my windows and annoy my neighbors, I just want a lot of bass inside the cabin that I can feel and this sub delivers. I saw some guy destroy one of these on Youtube (after a few days of feeding it 3X the rated power - don't be that guy). The right enclosure with the right clean power level, and you will be satisfied! One is plenty for me, and you can be heard by the car next to you if you're into that type of thing. If you need more, you're trying to rock the entire block and probably will go with a bigger woofer anyway. For me, this is a perfect amount of bass for the small footprint it takes up in the trunk.2016 UPDATE: So I got a ported box built exactly to the optimum specs in the owner's manual and the sub played even lower than before, very impressive. Just for kicks we put it in my son's car getting 500W RMS and it just hits lows all day long, no complaints from him. Now I can't get it back...2018 UPDATE: My son graduated and got another car, so he gave me the I8D4 back after 4 years of use. I decided to buy two more after measuring my trunk and placed all three in a custom ported box from High Output Enclosures (thanks, Dave). I have just under 1000 W RMS running to them, so it's right at 300+ RMS for each sub. THIS IS ALL I COULD EVER WANT AND THEN SOME. The bass is just right to fill my new SUV and I still don't take up too much storage space. These subs are attractive, flexible, and can be used for a lifetime if you treat them right.
