Purchased this grease to regrease my slide pins on my 2021 Toyota Camry. I purchased the car brand new and did my first brake job on it roughly a year and a half ago. I was recommended an incorrect brake grease by a coworker (funny because I work in the automotive industry, specifically repairs), and had noticed something was up with my brakes after that job. This was also my first Toyota, and after reading on the forums I had learned the grease I used wasn't compatible with the rubber bushings used on Toyota slide pins. Toyota uses a "lithium soap grease", traditional grease will make the rubber swell. This specific grease was recommended on the forums, as it's compatible with EPDM and nitrile. As I dug into this regrease job, I found the rubber did swell. The slide pins were seizing up. I replaced the rubber bushings and boots, regreased. Took it out for a test drive and feels like brand new! I would definitely recommend this grease, worked great on my Toyota. I'm using it for the foreseeable future!

I use this on all brake jobs. I coat every pin, both sides of slides and back of pads. It eliminates any squeaks and squeals. I have a Ford superduty that if not driven for 2 weeks the friggen brakes stick and smoke. This has completely prevented that form happening. I also use this as an anti seize on other parts. Added bonus, it's extremely high temp. Higher than most grease and anti seize. This lube has held up fantastic and I highly recommend. I have a tube with about 25% remaining and will order another today so I always have it on hand. This is a large tube and will last most people quite a while. I have 7 vehicles between my business and family that I do most maintenance on, so I go through a lot.

Actually it probably is cheap compared to buying the same volume in those little packets at the auto parts store. Brake grease is one of those products that people tend to have very strong opinions about. CRC Silaramic gets pretty good reviews everywhere. It won't harm rubber parts (or so the manufacturer and most reviewers say) and it withstands high temperatures, two of the most important characteristics of a good brake grease. It's a little thicker than I expected but still was easy to apply. This five ounce tube is probably three lifetime supplies for me, but I'll use it for other things around the house and leave the remainder to my heirs.

I started using Silaramic in 2019 on my vehicles and since then for friends and family as well. I am on my second tube of it now, though one tube is enough for a lifetime of brake changes for most people. I waited a long time before I finally wrote a review on this because I wanted to see if it truly lived up to the hype. My review is split into two segments. Helpful Hint: Massage or knead the tube a bit to help mix it up if your tube has been sitting for a while Part One-The Street: A few of my cars have had Siliarmic on the caliper pins for several years. Even after all that time and mileage the grease has not dried out nor has it run off. The brakes remained quiet and have been wearing evenly, so the lubricity of Siliarmic is great. The calipers still move freely and smoothly even after a few years. This stuff will easily last the life of a set of brake pads and keep things moving freely. Part Two-The Track: So this is the part where Siliarmic has been genuinely impressive. I have been using it on a car used in endurance road racing events, these events are usually around 16 hours of racing. We have destroyed the pads and rotors on this car a couple times due to heat, to the point that we upgraded to larger rotors and calipers. Through all of this, I have always used Siliarmic on the brakes it has never failed. It has remained the same thick slick consistency it comes out of the tube. It does not dry up or thin out, it will easily last for two events with out needing to lube the pins. It just works. Short version: Just buy it, its worth the money and will keep your brakes working properly regardless of what you throw at them on the street or on the track.

This is my go to brake grease now. It doesn't seem to swell rubber and I just like using the squeeze tube rather than a can and brush style. It's just cleaner and easy to use. Grease holds on great and lasts a long time. Like other reviewers pointed out they claim really high temperature but it's silicone so it can't be that high. If you look up the data sheet on crc own site the flashpoint is 550 degree F. They list the working temp at 3000 degrees and flashpoint at 550. I am not sure how that works out but either way it's a great brake grease.

hard to find and this was a good price with free deliver, win win. The grease works with mazda which is really finicky about what grease you use.
