There’s no way to control height of wick. They are beautiful. I really want to love them. But, after doing more research it seems glass may be more susceptible to “exploding” if handled while lit. The physics of temp changes and expansion/contraction exciting the molecular stability of the glass. Not worth the risk. I’m not even sure I can return it now since the wicks are now saturated in fuel. Kinda bummed. I’m not a fan of fiberglass wicks either- MUST USE GLOVES!!! If I can’t return it I’ll keep fuel at 20% full in jar. Don’t move while burning and keep partially filled.

Easy to fill, and nice to look at!
I hate filling oil lamps as it spills everywhere and it’s very messy. These are awesome with a huge opening you can’t make a mess. You can view the oil inside and they look very nice. Great for the beach And camping. I use on the ground to light a pathway.1 did have a chip in the lid and the company replaced it immediately. Very good customer service!

Pretty
I bought torch fuel and filled up each jar half way. I have these all around my backyard. For mosquitoes bit mostly for ambiance. I get so many compliments. I am nervous about them being lit and then like blowing over or being knocked down. So keep them away from kids and careful with windy days. They are glass jars.

Probably more dangerous than most
The lid simply has an oversized hole drilled in it for the wicks...the wicks are about a 3/8" too long and the flame is huge and the soot left behind covers the lid making it incredibly filthy when trying to refill... and I worry each time I light them that the flame will follow the smoke into the jar.

Not smokeless or sootless
Despite instructions to make sure that the wick is cut low in order to have a low smokeless sootfree wick doesn't hold. I have the wick cut to almost even and it's too high smoky and sooty. not going to bother with returning them good for emergency but only for emergency In my opinion.

Long lasting - easy to fill!
Best "table torch" out there! Last 7+ hours, and very easy to fill with the wide mouth. Much better than needing to use a funnel with the normal small opening type torches. Good look too. Cheers

worked very well
This product is pretty basic but works well and since the jars are standard Ball jars the opening is large and easy to re-fill with oil. Plus you can use a regular lid to seal when taking them down for the season.
