Great hold, and fruity scent. No build up.

Not sure what hair type I am prolly 4a or 4c looks the most identical but I spray my hair with water add some hydration milk or any kind of leave in then add this styling gel. I do it myself and i suck so it’s hard for me to really get all the areas but the areas I am able to apply the gel & brush it down works great. It never leaves any flakes or anything. I had emailed their corporate offices to ask for full list of ingredients because I noticed it said “key ingredients” and they assured me that was all that was in the hair gel. As far as the hold I’d give it a 7 out of 10. It’s cheaper on their website but their shipping is $7. I’m only returning mine because the seal had been comprised on arrival and these days you can’t risk it. I would highly recommend this product for its ability plus all natural & organic ingredients..

This gel did stretch my tight pen-spring coils, but it dripped from my hair for hours ( I don't use a blow-dryer). I have non-porous hair, so that might be a factor. When my hair finally did air dry, it felt very dry! This might have too much aloe vera for my hair. I was surprised that this is marketed as a natural product, but the smell is a very artificial-smelling berry. I found it very off-putting, but my preteen daughter loved the smell. The fragrance lingers - it doesn't fade. I'll most likely find a way to use the jar, but I won't be repurchasing.

Very good gel for my fine high porosity 4b/c hair type. It’s moisturizing while giving a medium hold. Always get compliments on my wash n go when using this gel. Great ingredients, I love it!

Lasts a long time. A little goes a long way. Does what it says. Smells like a fruit smoothie. Great moisture and seems to help my split ends as well. Curl boosting and split end repair surprise! Will order again.

My stylist used it today and she said it gave a great curl definition and it was easy to work with and it had pleasant smell.

I have dry, porous, and course (thick) hair. This product did not work for me, as it made my hair feel extremely dry. When I applied it to the longer portion of my hair and tried to comb it through, it felt like I used a clarifying shampoo because I could hear and feel the dryness. There was no slippage of the comb but there was lots of friction and tugging. Even after I washed this out, my hair was still extremely dry.As with all hair products, what works for one does not mean it will work for all. If you have hair similar to mine, then I would suggest not buying this. And by the way, the curl pattern (i.e. 3C, 4A etc) does not have anything to do with how well a product will work on your hair.Edited on 16Oct17: I bought 5 different gels at the same time: Eco Cocktail, Alikay Naturals (this review), Moco de Gorilla, Aunt Jackies Don't Shrink, and another gel not from Amazon that I forget the name because it wasn't that great. My favorite of all the gels was Moco de Gorilla and Aunt Jackie's was 2nd. I ended up mixing these two because Moco was very gooey and Aunt J's wasn't strong enough. The resulting combination gave me a product that I am happy with.

The guys delivering were nice and also checked if the door was the right one - I am not permanently settled in the UK, as I live most of the year in Austria, so this bit of information might sound strange to locals... but when compared to some delivery and shipping services in Austria do, it was a pleasant surprise!The product itself is awesome! It is a jelly-ish cream, or a rich gel, if you prefer (aloe vera gel "dries up" a little, this does not). If you use only a little bit, it works as a gel. Add a little bit and it turns into a light lotion/milk. Use a lot, and it works as a butter that does not make you look like a baking foil you used for a pack of chicken breast.It smells deliciously. Also, the colour is nice... not that important, but it surely boosts your mood.100% will order again.

Smell nice but leave flakes and dandruff in my hair

Purchased this styling gel after a recommendation. I use it when twisting my natural 4c hair, it smells like berries and works really well leaving no residue and no flakes!
