Don't let the small size fool you!
It comes with an AC adapter and, for those who use Porter Cable cordless tools, it can take power from Porter Cable 20V tool batteries. But enough of this, you can get all this from the specs. What about the important stuff like how does it sound?I have to say that I don't think you can find better sound at this size. Heck, I don't think you can find better sound at an even larger size. This little guy sounds terrific! (Note that this is in comparison to the armored radios made by other tool companies.) The radio sounds great, your iPod or iPhone (or any other bluetooth device) sounds great. You can also just plug it in to your MP3 player using the supplied cord but, as with any player, it doesn't sound nearly as good as using the built-in Bluetooth. The only other toolmaker radio I could find was DeWalt, and that's done using a $35 Bluetooth dongle. And that's the point! It has Bluetooth built right in! As Dr. Sheldon Cooper himself once said, "Everything's better with Bluetooth!"Seriously, paired Bluetooth sounds much better than plugging a cord into the headphone connector. (But this radio has that capability if you need it.) That and the conveniently small size make this a winner. The one I got for my son for Christmas gets used all the time and it's been terrific.

A gotta have
We are farmers. Complete in the field farmers. This radio is a must have for long hours with little to know conversation. It's tough, has a long battery life and has a great sound.

Great value and rugged
This is the second one I’ve purchase because my original was stolen. It’s a great radio for when I’m working construction. Signal is good and the Bluetooth worked good. This isn’t a Bose speaker, but for the price, it sounds better then what I expected.

Clock doesn't keep time
Connected to my Windows Phone just fine over bluetooth. Radio reception also seems good. The aux in, bluetooth, radio, battery option and wall wart make it pretty versatile. Its a little smaller than expected, but that makes it fit on my shelf better anyway. Sound quality is fine, nothing to write home about. It says it has 12 presets, but really its divided and you get 6 FM and 6AM presets. Hardly an issue, I'm only using 2 FM ones at the moment.Even though it has a little watch battery inside to keep the clock set, it still loses time when you unplug it/remove the drill battery... Not a big deal for me, but it is pretty lame. The radio presets stay.

Hubby loves it! Great buy :) Cute little guy for being so loud!
Very great! Sound quality very loud for being such a little guy! Very cool and great surprise to my hubby. He loves it for his work site and so do his co-workers they all get to jam while working and can hear the music over the power tools! Comes with an ability to plug in or use Porter-Cable battery. He loves the fact that he can use his one of his Porter-Cable batteries to operate it while the work site has no power ! Great addition to his expanding Porter-Cable set :)

Great addition to our collection
This was on my hubby's wish list and I surprised him with it for his birthday. It's great. The battery life is great. We can Wifi our cell phones and hear our playlists. Great fun, compact size, makes it a good addition to our tool kit.

Smaller than expected.
Radio is actually fairly small. Bass is slightly distorted even when EQ is set flat. But realisticly, this is a jobsite radio not an audiophile system. I bought it to put in my garage when working on cars, or wood working. Five stars because of value, size, and use of other PC batteries. I wasn't hoping for outstanding audio so this fit the bill for me.

Absolutely love this thing
I've been searching hard for a BT device that also functions well as an FM radio and this thing is great. I can rock to my play lists, using BT, and switch of to FM to listen to the game. I also bought a 20v MAX 4.0ah battery pack for it and it can go all day off a fully charge battery. Great sound from it and it's plenty loud for me. Only downside is that the unit won't charge the battery pack when it"s plugged in, you have to use a separate Porter-Cable charger. Oh, for those people who are having problems with it keeping the time, RTM. It uses a separate watch battery to maintain its settings, including the radio presets.

Good quality compact little shop radio, but if you need usb charging port and tool battery charging, look elsewhere
This Porter bluetooth radio is very compact, but quite weighty - much more compact than i'd expected, just about a foot wide, and about 6 inches high/deep roughly so it doesn't take up a lot of space. Supplied with a mains power adaptor, male/male aux jack cable and no battery but it will accept Porter 20v tool batteries for radio on the go which may come in handy in the summer, for my use it's just going in the garage mostly so mains power is fine. Buttons are rubber finished and positive/soft without having the use much force.Sounds great, has some basic bass/treble EQ controls via the EQ and volume up/down buttons. Bass is really pretty good for a unit of this size, and it goes louder than I'll ever need it to. AM radio reception is a bonus, so I can listen to 680 for traffic and 590 for the baseball in the summer! The radio aerial is compact, only about 6 inches long and doesn't appear to extend. It's flexible and rubbery which is a good idea and should mean it survives better than a normal metal extendible one.Radio tuning is nice and easy, the radio will scan if you hold the up/down button for a few seconds, or you can manually tune. tuning is to one decimal place, so reasonably fine at least in the city, I've had no issues getting pretty much perfect FM stereo reception on most major stations I've tried so far.Bluetooth reception works fine, my phone found the speaker first time and paired right away so no hassles there. I haven't tested the limits of the range, but I'll always be pretty nearby the unit in the garage anyway and wouldn't expect much over 6-8 meters. The unit is mostly well designed and well thought out - there are rubbery covers on the dc power jack and the aux-in jack - I say mostly, as there's no usb jack to trickle charge your phone and it can't charge a Porter tool battery, only drain one. The display is timed illuminated so the light goes off after a few seconds to save power.Cons:- doesn't charge a battery if you have one inserted and are running the unit off the mains which seems a bit daft- the silly lack of a usb port on the radio - again, bit of a daft one so you can't charge your phone from the unit- minor gripe - the display is hard to read at any kind of distance and the backlight goes off a bit quickly (both a pro and a con) I could understand the backlight going off on battery power, but mains again seems a bit daft.- i kind of wish the plastic trim guard bar things had more gap around the radio so you could grab it more securely by them, especially top center so it would act as a handle - the gaps only big enough at the ends on the back side. Again, this doesn't matter too much for my usage but may be something others need.Overall I'm really pleased with this radio, if your use for it means the small 'cons' don't bother you, it's a good quality little unit that sounds great and has plenty of volume. Great little shop radio, not quite perfect but then it's relatively reasonable price for shop/job site radio's.

A small Radio with bug sound
I bought this radio for work, as I work in a shop. I've seen many different jobsite radios in the shop. When I saw this one online I really like the look of it and the reviews were good. When I received it, it was so small! But its unbelievably loud and can hold its own in a noisy shop. Its so light and easy to carry, unlike other jobsite radios that can weigh up to 20lbs. The cord is pretty flimsy, but I prefer to use with a battery anyway. Everyone who sees my radio wants one!

Awesome
This little radio pumps out some pretty good sound! Nice and loud, and runs for a good 8 hours on the smaller 20v max battery. The Bluetooth function works flawlessly and with a good range. Can't find a bad thing to say about it. Highly recommend.

Nice the radio
Nice little radio. It's a shame it doesn't double as a charger for the battery it can use.
