Moonrays 96306 Garden Shovel Rain Gauge, Multi-Color

This rain gauge is so cute. It's useful, stylish, and practical all in one.I'm getting reads on the rain falls that are wonderful to have and I don't have to bend down all the way to ground level to read it. The lights are super cute but also practical because it can be seen at night if it's near any walkways. And the ornament is really nice during the day. My neighbors have commented about how cute it is.I've had zero problems with the solar lights. They are really bright and I'm impressed. I love looking out and seeing it at night. You have to just make sure it is on "auto" and on not "off" before you put it out. But I love that there is the option to turn off the lights if you want or need.Once temperatures get cold I'll need to take the glass rain gauge inside so it doesn't shatter... but that's just science, nothing to do with the product. It also warns you about freezing temps. I'm less concerned about measuring rainfall in the winter anyway.Highly recommend for any gardener!

This is has a nice look to it. It's a little smaller than I imagined but after placing it in the garden it does look good as is. The description states it is multi-color. This does not mean the LEDs are multi-color! They are just white LEDs. It would be nice if they were a little brighter or maybe had a couple more LED, although the batteries seem to last all night. The rain gauge is glass and easy to remove to empty. It holds up well to wind. I am glad I got it.

I bought this for my husband and the next day after he placed it in the flower garden we had a heavy rain. It filled the glass rain gauge all the way to the top, 6 inches in fact. It is a very stylish rain gauge and the solar lights at night is an added bonus. Where we have it placed, it is not that easy to read, but it's not that big of a problem. Since it was a gift for my husband, I thought having the garden shovel made it more of a manly gift than other rain gauges. My husband also liked this rain gauge.

I had looked for a new rain gauge for awhile and finally settled on this one. I am glad I did. It is sturdy and the subtle solar lights add a nice touch at night.

The metal bird on top drips water into the tube so the gauge is always overstated. By the end of the rain season it's way off. Newer rain gauge models have corrected this problem. It is really pretty so left it in place and just bought a plain old fashion rain gauge.

This is a very cute piece for your garden or yard. But if you are a weather watcher like my husband it's not for you. The rain gauge itself is off more than an inch. I ended up buying another, smaller rain gauge and sat it inside the inaccurate one. Added some glass gems around the cylinder so it stays straight. Kind of dissappointing.

I love this rain gauge, it's so cute and it lights up at night. I actually ordered another one and sent it to my mother after I got mine. It's sturdy and durable.
