Great Sparring Buckler and Training Tool
I've used this Shield, buckler extensively and it's pretty strong, the only weak point on this is the two pieces of metal where the handle connects to the Buckler. If you are using any kind of sparring weapons it will be perfect, just don't Shield smash anything. If you smash anything that has a good hardness to it the metal will bend on the handle and you'll have to bend it back otherwise the shield will be hard to use. Just FYI

Almost functional.
It's a nice thick piece of metal and I hope to get a lot of use out of it. Unfortunately it's hardly a usable shield so buyer beware. It seems ridiculous to sell a functional shield with such a ridiculously flimsy handle. I knew that it was going to be weak based on other reviews, but the handle popped off the first day I used it. They should probably sell it as a "you finish" shield. The point is, if you can't easily replace the handed, don't buy it.

this is awesome for the price and I am super happy to ...
I took away one star because the handle came bent and it was "weak" enough for me to bend it back by hand without much effort. I had a coworker weld on some braces and I buffed out the marks that the heat left in the metal's surface. Otherwise, this is awesome for the price and I am super happy to have this piece of fighting gear.

good for the price
Bought this a little while back for SCA fighting.Pros: Has a great rolled edge, and made out of some good thick metalCons: The handle is not attached very well, just the one rivet, and it is not very well peened. I am pretty sure it will break fairly soon. It also rings like a bell, but I kinda like that. Lets me know that its working :) I will probably end up welding the handle on when it breaks. One consideration is that it is not stainless, so it will rust eventualy, unless properly oiled.

Piece of a Tank!!!
Seems like they cut a chunk from an armored tank and made a shield with it. I smashed it into a tree trunk to get the feel of it - it tore off a piece of of the trunk and when I looked at the shield it had absolutely no visible damage. This is hands down one of the best shields out there!

Face smasher
I bought this Buckler for my Girlfriend, and we are both part of a sword fighting reenactment group. This is a rugged and heavy buckler, ideal for our uses. It comes ready to use, though I think I may eventually put a wooden handle on it. It is quite fun to use, threatening and heavy, bruises are almost a guarantee on an opponent, and despite being so plain, it still makes a fighting armor harness look complete. Priced right and built tough A+!

NOT JUST FOR SHOW
Heavy enough to take a beating. I will need to get used to the weight, but this will likely be the last buckler I will have to buy. See me in 10 years.
