OXO SteeL Angled Measuring Jigger

Easy to see measurements. Love the pour spout. I've bought other jiggers with measurements and not one of them is even close to this one. I plan on buying more for friends and relatives as little gifts.

Remember the name of the bar in 'Mama's Family'? This is what I'm reminded of when using the Oxo. I had previously impulse purchased a stainless jigger which had a max. capacity of 1.5 ounces. This means the typical measurement was 1.3 ounces. The Oxo version is a little more than 2 ounces, so even 2 ounces on the dot is possible. This is more than enough for one drink's worth of whiskey or vodka.

I bought this for a friend for Christmas. Even though he already has one and bought a couple for other friends, he was happy to have another one for his travels. He thinks the measurementdesign is genius.

I've used this measuring jigger consistently for about one year now and it is as good as new. I love that the markings are easy to read. They can be viewed from above and you don't need to get down to eye level to read the measurements. It provides both tablespoon and ounce markings to fit whatever recipe you're using. The spout also provides a clean pour. The stainless steel makes the cup look simple and streamlined. It is easy to wash. Because I only use it to measure water-soluble ingredients, I simply rinse it out by hand and give it a quick scrub with the yellow side of a sponge. I avoid using the green abrasive side and have not had any issues with the markings fading away. I also do not put it in the dishwasher, so cannot attest to what that experience is like. Washing it by hand takes me just a couple of seconds.I use this to mix cocktails and it makes the whole cocktail experience a breeze. Prior to purchasing this, I debated between this and other more traditional looking barware, like a double jigger. This product provides a much cleaner experience because I'm not flipping the measuring cup back and forth where liquids can drip onto your countertop. As a regular home cook who likes to occasionally entertain, this measuring cup fits my needs perfectly. It is easy to use, quick to wash, and does not make a sticky mess in my kitchen.

I can't say I really NEEDED this, I don't make many mixed drinks. But I like being able to measure the right amount when I'm inclined to have a shot of something. It's a cute and functional thing to have around. Could I live without it, yes. Am I happy to have it, yes again.

This thing is wonderful. I use it every day to measure coffee creamer for my latte.The only thing is that the measurement is not notched into the jigger, so it can over time become faint. But, so far, it hasn't happened.
