Simply Modern: Contemporary Design for Hooked Rugs

I enjoy this book and frequently turn to it for inspiration and tips on rug hooking, and when I need to get out of a creative slump.

Beautiful pictures and a good read. I like while reading through, there are more in depth tips and activity suggestions. I also like that there are project ideas for things other than rugs or wall hangings.

A great book-- and not "just" another book about Nova Scotia-style hooking. It has useful tips throughout, in addition to beautiful illustrations, and she IS a brilliant artist and hooker.

This book is brand new! Such a wonderful book to add to my collection of rug hooking books.

A beautifully written and illustrated book. There is lots of practical advice but its so inspirational too. I love the way Deanne writes about the creative thought processes as she works on a piece. She says what I like to hear, it's not so much about rug making but making good art. I highly recommend this book on all levels.

My first book by rug hooking artist Deanne Fitzpatrick and it doesn'the disappoint.

what can I say but Deanne Fitzpatrick not only is an artist but has the ability to explain in words and visuals the most detailed instructions in making gorgeous hooked rugs..am booked to take one of her classes this summer 2015, and can't wait to begin !!!everyone interested in hooking rugs needs this book in their personal library.
