Wonderful! Incredible! Gotoh-sensai You've done it again!
Shinobu Gotoh, the author of the "Passion" series has done it again. "Time Lag" was wonderful, I normally HATE shonen-Ai Titles, but since Shinobu Gotoh is one of my favorite mangaka's I decided to buy it. (actually I had seen an ad for it in one of his other books and it kept hauntng me Lol)The story is about a boy named Tendo Satoru, a naive high school student who has loved his best friend since his first year in high school. After being tragically turned down TWICE, Satoru basically stops being friends with his best friend. Satoru joins the newspaper club. He befriends the club's president, Hiro Seiichi. Seiichi wants Satoru to forget the ex-best friend and move on, but is the reason only for Satoru's well being or will Seiichi make a move on the naive friend, only time will tell. The story has a beautiful ending, a few "lovey dovey" scenes, and plenty of misunderstandings. To me the book is longer than the 184 that the description says, but was a great time passer and will stay on my bookcase for a very long time. Being 16+ (which I think is stupid if you read a yaoi then you know what you're reading) you have the "pure" romance between two people. As I stated in the first paragraph I dislike a lot of shonen-ai because they either aren't orginal or the art work sucks, but with manga this you will fall in love with it, the plot is semi-orginal and the art work is to very detailed and beautiful. "Time Lag" has plenty of angst, love, and sexy guys.

A cliche yet sweet story
The artwork is pretty, as expected of Odagiri Hotaru known from Only the Ring Finger Knows. However, the story itself is light and kind of cliche. You could actually guess what the ending will be even from reading about 50 pages. Although it centers around a triangle love story, you could still see who the main boy will choose in the end.Yet, putting aside that the story lacks depth, the pretty artwork will entertain you with plenty of bisshies and the story still attracted me to read until the end. At least, it's not a boring story because the mangaka tells the story in an attractive way. It flows beautifully, I must say. So overall, this is a nice and sweet shounen-ai story. Recommended for those who like slice of life romance with school as setting.

I really enjoyed reading this
Cute story, I really enjoyed reading this.I wouldn't label it yaoi; it's more tame, closer to BL.

A sweet shounen-ai.
Being one into m/m romance erotica/Yaoi, Time Lag is a good light break in between. This sweet shounen-ai is addictive enough to keep me turning the pages, all the while rooting for the 2 childhood friends to clear their misunderstandings and be together. The letter which comes 3 years later is quite a nice surprise. The ending is a trifle weak but it's just my wishing for something more expressive.

Attractive & Sweet
For those who fell in love with "Only the Ring Finger Knows" and "Little Butterfly", Time Lag is a must buy. A romantic tale about a love triangle between three sweet guys in high school - the quiet cool Shirou, the good looking Seiichi, and the sweet naive Satoru. Misunderstandings, secrets, and confusion meet our three heroes. The main character is Satoru who is filled with unrequited love for his former childhood friend Shirou and, through a misunderstanding, starts to believe that Shirou is in love with his friend Seiichi. Drawn by the same delicate hand as "Only the Ring Finger Knows" - Hotaru Odagiri, the artwork is spot on and extremely attractive. Although the author of the story is different to OTRFK, the storyline is quite similiar. This appears to be a one off story, and although it has a satisfactory conclusion, I would really like to keep reading about these likeable characters and see the next stage in their relationship. If you are new to Shonen-ai stories this is a really good place to start as it captures the romance but is not graphic.

The softest BL story ever
This story is best for people new to the genre, or likes soft, innocent stories. The boys only kiss once and once is all we need. Anything more wouldn't fit. This story ends on a sweet note. But up to that point there is swirl of misunderstandings and angst. Seiichi does his best to get Satoru for himself and plays both Satoru and Shirou for his own amusement. Good luck in keeping the boys names straight, I had a hard time with all three beginning with S. As for the art, I like it best on the inside instead of the cover. Mainly because the hair looks softer and more natural. Over all a really good story.

Big thumbs up
Bit of a love triangle. Uke confesses to seme, seme rejects, uke takes no sex confort in friend, friend has crush on uke. A twist leads the seme to realise he was in the wrong to reject the uke, and now both are after the uke. What's an uke to do?
