why I have never owner kitchen shears up until then is a mystery to me because they are so great! Pros
I have had this for a few months...why I have never owner kitchen shears up until then is a mystery to me because they are so great! Pros: I've used this to cut up a whole chicken and it worked nicely getting through bones and all. I also like how the scissors easily sepearate for dishwasher, and reassemble just as easily. Con: already showing rust stains around hinge.

Great shears that come apart easily for cleaning
Great shears that come apart easily for cleaning. Herve been great for the first few months. I can't wait to see how they hold up to the abuse I give them.

Would buy again.
Really pleased with these. They are better then the dollar store version i had before. They appear to be made well and look like they will withstand the abuse I will do to them in my kitchen.

Overdesigned, and less effective than it appears to be.
I hate to be the one to go against the grain, but I don't like these shears very much, and I can explain why. While they appear to be loaded with helpful features, some of those features end up being a serious liability. It's like they tried to pack too much in here, and in so doing, ended up making these shears *less* effective and *more* dangerous. Here are the issues I had:1.) The top problem is that the shears come apart too easily. Seriously, they fall apart at the drop of a hat, leaving you with two disconnected pieces. (See photo.) There's no locking mechanism, so it takes almost no effort to dislodge one of the arms.2.) You'd have to be insane to use the "nutcracker," which is sandwiched directly between the two hand holes. To use them, you have to open the jaws of the scissors and point them at yourself. You'll need to use two hands, of course, which means that the open pointy end is aimed right at your midsection. One false move as the shell of the nut abruptly gives way, and you're screwed. You might as well paint a sign on your stomach that says "Stab here."3.) The black sheath strikes me as having somewhat of an awkward fit. Even in the product photos, you can see that the scissor blades curve more to one side, and yet the sheath is completely straight. It doesn't sheath smoothly enough from my perspective.Sorry, but these shears are not a big hit. I think they're way more complicated than they need to be, and also way more risky.---Promotional sample provided for the purpose of candid and objective review.---
