Be careful taking this if you have a gut microbiome problem. In my case I have SIBO and this medication made me much sicker. Probiotics are still bacteria. If you have an overgrowth of bacteria in your system already, these may not be what you're looking for.

I’ve used many different probiotics, and this is beyond comparison—the best ever. I took it daily for one month, and it totally straightened out my gut. Now I use it for a few days here and there when I think my tummy is getting irritable.

A very good brand of probiotic. I have used the loose powder as well. I was able to make a culture in coconut milk with it proving that it was live. However, I don’t recommend making yogurt from it as it is not very palatable. It’s definitely ALL of the bacteria that you need in your gut. It’s better just to swallow. that way It doesn’t taste like much in capsule or powder form.

I was using this product daily for 4 years, it helped with my GI issues yay! I continued to take it daily alongside w/ yogurt and now developed Lactobacillus overgrowth syndrome/Doderlein's cytolysis also known as Cytolytic vaginosis CV. This overgrowth is now in the bladder causing discomfort and urgency! Just a warning don't overdo it!

My doctor recommended this and I have noticed a huge change for the better. Expensive but worth it.

As other reviewers have said, this is one of the most comprehensive probiotics out there. It's shelf stabilized, so it doesn't require refrigeration. What that means, as with any of the other shelf stabilized probiotics, is it has food in the pill to keep the bacteria alive (the alternative, of course, is to refrigerate the pills/bacteria so that they don't die).A little background: probiotics are beneficial bacteria normally found in the gut (along with yeast, which are supposed to be in a balance - both are essential to digesting food). Because of of modern living, most notably the prevalence of anti-biotics use, we kill much of our own beneficial bacteria which can disturb our digestion. It's often suggested that we take a probiotic when digestion is not good (I also take a probiotic shortly after I use anti-biotics to restore the beneficial bacteria that tends to get killed during a course of antibiotic use). Some people eat yogurt, but that's less effective. My doctor recommended this brand to me and it has almost every strain commonly found in a healthy gut. Many of the other probiotics have less of the strains (and, as with everyhing in the body, it's all about the right proportions and balance).Anyway, some of the shelf-stabilized probiotics have a food (again, to keep the bacteria alive as a way of shelf-stabilizing the product) in them that actually doesn't work well for people. The food that keeps the bacteria alive can give people gas and other discomfort (often, because the food also feeds yeast which impeeds digestion and causes the gas). This particular probiotic has a food that doesn't seem to cause any of those problems so it's even more effective and has no side-effects.
