RSVP Just Ducky Floating Tea Infuser

I LOVE IT! Best tea infuser ever! I've been searching for the perfect tea infuser for years, and this one's it! I love that it's shaped like a duck, and it ACTUALLY FLOATS! Granted, you may need to let water run under it and hold it upright until the leaves soak up a bit for the duck to float upright, but I love it! Be careful not to let it tip over too much or it will take in water and sink! I would put it in the drink long enough to seep, but then I would take it out and put it in the holder it comes with to drain. Handwash this product only, but only was the parts of the duck where the tea touched it! Avoid getting water in the duck!

Most of the reviews I read said that their duck got filled with icky water and didn't float correctly.I've been using my duck for a few weeks now, and I have no problems so far. I check him for cracks, but haven't found one yet. The mesh basket does a great job of keeping the leaves in.He sits a little low, but if I pour the hot water through the mesh basket and into my cup (just to get the leaves wet), he does not tip over (otherwise the air in the leaves/basket makes him tip over at first).I let him bob around and steep for usually about 4 minutes, then take him out and put him in his holder to cool down. After that, I empty out the leaves, rinse him off, and let him sit to dry.I suspect fast temperature changes might make him crack, so I'm careful to let him cool off before I put him in any cold water.So far, so good, SO CUTE!

When I first bought this little tea ducky I accidently filled him to the brim with tea & he flopped over on his side! :( So just make sure that when you fill him up with your favorite tea that you only fill him half way and he should float on top just fine. Also, make sure that he "snaps" into place after you are done filling him up with loose tea and before you start steeping! There are two small indentions on both his sides that locks into place with the metal steeping carriage, just FYI. Make sure the steeping carriage is locked into place before you start steeping, you don't want to lose any loose tea in your cup or on the floor! He steeps surprisingly well, if you let him steep between 5-7 minutes you get a pretty decent strength of tea. If you love your tea super strong then I would suggest letting him steep for a good 15-20 minutes. The only super minor annoyance that I had with this steeper is that a few tea particles would escape the carriage and fall to the bottom of my cup, but that all really depends on the tea you are using :) Another great thing about this steeper is that it's so easy to clean! You can just throw out your old tea & gently hand wash him with some warm water and let him either air dry or gently dry by hand. I just love that he comes with a little "water" stand that you can place him on until the next time you need to use him. I smile every time I see him on my kitchen counter, he makes tea time such a delight! :)

How can you not love this little duck?Makes the tea more welcoming than any fancy cup.Oh, and it does a good job of letting the tea sit in the water, but due to it's small size, it's one cup at a time.

Works well and very cute. The duck floats along in the liquid. If you have it in your cup and pour hot water directly on it, it can pop off and spill your loose tea. The duck is made of a hard plastic so not sure how healthy that is in a hot beverage. The strainer and duck sit perfectly on the holder until the next use. Would buy again.
