wiring for a home is 14 gauge. The wiring on this fixture is 12. This is inadequately allowing too much follow into the fixture. When we turned on the light it shorted out and started a fire. Thank god we were there to put it out. Do not buy this product for the wiring is dollar store quality.

As others have reported, the setup of the unit we received was very difficult. The lamp comes pre-wired, which is excellent; however, the pipe arms are loose for transport, and need to be aligned then tightened into place. This involves tightening down a nut at each pipe arm firmly inside the central wiring hub. With our unit, four of the nuts tightened easily. Three others took quite a bit of effort to un-screw, carefully align the threads, and re-tighten. it took considerable strength and a much larger socket wrench (10mm) to get the bolt all the way down the threads. The last nut was completely cross-threaded on the pipe arm threads --from the factory -- so we could just not get it seated correctly after multiple tries.. Typically we would have returned the unit at this point. In our case -- because we needed to finish the project -- we just forced it, which means that we basically used the nut to cut a new thread on the pipe until the lamp arm was tight. So, it works, but I would not want to do that again.My recommendation: double check that every nut is seated correctly before tightening. If one or more are not seated, unscrew it off and restart the threading. If you can't do it after 3-4 tries, contact the manufacturer. IMO, this is a quality control problem at the factory, and may not affect every unit. YMMV.

I just bought a new house and bought 2 of these. They are absolutely awesome. They do take a little work to get up but all in all not that hard. Just watch where your mounting screws are when you mount it. We had to turn it another direction but it is just fine. We have received compliments from everyone who comes over. I also bought led bright white edison bulbs for them here on Amazon for them. Would Recommend.

We have purchased three. Had to return one because of a defect. All three still have defects in a quirky way. One or two arms hang lower than the others. And some of the arms do not tighten up as needed because of bad threads. Do not over tighten when assembling. And if the arms don’t feel like they are tightening appropriately back lock it off entirely and re tighten. Some came factory started cross threaded.

The middle arm on the left side of my photo hangs lower than the others. Maybe the fixture I got is defective- I don’t know but that’s all I see when I look at it. The droopy arm makes me sad because the fixture is otherwise awesome.

I had the same experience as another reviewer, so I copy here verbatim: "One of the mounting studs had stripped threads - could not tighten the arm"I give it a chance to fix and make that arm not hang so sadly.

Great looking light. Was difficult to get the arms tightened up properly but got it done. It was a little difficult to line up the mounting holes so did the install and adjusted the arms slightly to line it up. Looks great!

love the light, much more unique than the generic builder grade light i had. i am using as a foyer light and we don't have high ceilings. lights are very bright. fairly easy to install, beware that if you need to tighten the arms, you should do this before installing the light.
