I ordered this doll with caution! I really didn't know what to expect.....it turns out it was actually quite a good purchase! I enjoy making and designing miniature clothes and wanted a doll Smart doll size, but no way can I currently afford a Smart doll or similar quality bjd (ball jointed doll). When I saw this on Amazon I decided to go for it - it would either turn out to be worth it or a big waste of £15-ish. She arrived today and I have to say I'm quite pleased with her. Yes, she's nowhere near the quality of the Smart dolls etc - but I wasn't expecting her to be. She arrived with her head detached. I had to heat up the neck hole on her head to make it soft and then it popped onto the neck 'nobble' really easily (there was absolutely no way it would have fitted on without heating it up first!!). Some of her joints were incredibly tight at first - I really thought I could have snapped something if I forced them too hard. This issue was resolved with the tried and trusted 'washing up liquid' method: drip a bit of washing up liquid in to the stiff joint and it work its way in. It works as a good lubricant and has nothing in it that could damage the plastic. (Great on action figures too!) The joints now work fine. Certainly my doll arrived in good and non-faulty condition: her hair was good, and the seams in the plastic moulding weren't split (I might just neaten of a couple of rough seam lines with a nail buffer just to smooth off a couple of scratchy bits). (Obviously, having only bought one of these dolls, I don't know if I was just lucky that I got a good one!)Her head is made of vinyl (quite solid/stiff vinyl - you thankfully can't squish her head - some cheaper jointed dolls have heads that are made of similar vinyl to a squeaky toy! All in all I'm pleased I decided to get this doll. She not of really really impressive quality - but I didn't feel 'ripped off' at paying £15- ish for her. (PS: She's a bit shorter than the described 60cm, mine's 55cm tall and the rest of her measurements are pretty much the same as a Smart doll.)
