Unique Rustic Wood Coffee Table - This Weathered White Washed ...Distressed Style Cocktail Table With 2 Drawers and Storage Make A Striking Accent Table

I was a bit disappointed with this table especially after reading the previous review. First off the color is just like the picture and not deeper or richer.But the main problem is it really really smells like some kind of toxic varnish. The fact it's made in China and smells of this odd is very disturbing. My eyes actually started burning when I was trying to put it together.Also odd is the fact that the wood is so incredibly light. It's more like balsa wood or some kind of pressed product made to look like wood. Another issue is I don't see how the top won't immediately get gouged and marked up being of such light and soft material. You definitely have to put a glass top on this or it would get ruined within the first week.It was easy to assemble. I do like the design which is why I gave it to stars but the manufacturing materials are substandard.The odor of the paint is pretty scary and very strong. I actually put it outside hoping that it will smell less in the morning. I will probably need to return it.Update:Leaving it outside overnight did help tremendously with the odor. I would put the parts outside for a day before assembling.

The wood at the top is splitting and getting worse - after only a year of owning it. For the price, I would expect more. They are replacing the top for me.
