Can't give a full review on these chairs just yet- I haven't even set them up yet...just received them in the mail. But was slightly disappointed from the get-go since these are noticeably lighter wood color than in the pic. These are a very light pine. Almost birch. I thought I might be crazy so I immediately pulled out my phone and compared a picture of my chair legs side by side with the sample picture and sure enough, way different. BUT i love these chairs and I'm hopeful once they are all in place around my table I won't even notice! I'll write again once they are assembled. Wish I had read that in a review before I purchased them. OR even better, they should list the wood color in the item description- not sure how I didn't notice that before I ordered. I guess I just assumed they would look like the picture!

Had ordered the Baxton with arm rests and wanted to get a couple of the armless version so I opted for these since they were cheaper than the Baxton (which I love). Received the package and one set of legs were damaged (scratched and scuffed), not only that, the hardware to attach the bases to the seats were missing. Had to go out of my way to Home Depot to grab two sets of screws and washers. Thankfully, I had my Baxton chairs to compare. Quite the hassle. Assembled the items and then realized that these were not as white as my Baxton's. They were more of a off-white, yellowy color. Very disappointed in these. Cheaper isn't better.

We loved the chairs at first because of how pretty they were. Then we realized that the metal flaps were bent, making the chair uneven and unusable.I wish I had listened to the negative reviews here.It's possible that we simply got two defective units, but by looking at other reviews, I doubt it. It's unfortunate because they are so beautiful. I recommend them only if you are planning to look at them or stage a house. I don't recommend them if you plan to sit in them.We have contacted the company and are waiting to hear a response. I hope we can get a refund for these.Edit: The company has refunded us in full. We mailed back the chairs; they paid for shipping. Because of this I'm giving them a four-star rating instead of one.

We are really pleased with these chairs! They were a great option for the price. They feel a little unsteady at times (I think it's the small wooden legs?)- then again, we have a toddler who climbs up and down and isn't incredibly steady herself! The only major hiccup was in ordering- amazon and the company did not have the same information, and although I was notified of my chair shipment and estimated delivery daye, the chairs were actually on backorder for a number of weeks- it took about an additional 3 weeks to get to me! Frustrating, but I know this happens. The company provided great customer service and was as helpful as possible.

The only Amazon purchase ever that I didn't like. Not very comfortable .. can't sit relaxed because the back of the chair is so weak, that I fear falling back. Thought we will still use it for some purpose, but then some nuts and bolts provided for one chair are such that elan key doesn't turn for those at all. Not easy to assemble as some other reviews say, by NO means good for tall people, as another review claims (6' !! ). Planning to return those. 2 star and not 1, because those are not the worst kinds ;)

These high solid quality Eames DSW side chairs are big and comfortable, yet only 18" wide, so more chairs can fit on the sides of dinig table. They match in color, material, parts and bags with 2 Eames Shell Arm DAW chairs I ordered from another California seller. These exact same chairs are sold for double, triple or even higher prices online, no need to pay more for exact same chairs from same factory. Same chairs are sold in my local highend furniture stores for $375-$450, but they are reproduction made by Herman Miller, basically the same chair, also "reproduction", regardless who or where it is made. Except you cannot call these Eames chairs because the copyright is on the name.My order was shipped next day, took 8 days to reach me in California from New Jersey, 1 day longer than usual but fast considered hurricame Sandy messed up the Northeastern logistic system. Packing from this seller is top with thick American made carton.Took me 4 minutes to assembled the 2nd chair, 6 minutes for the first one beacuse no instruction included, but I had experience with the previous 2 DAW chairs with arms, same structure. Legs came assembled, just attached the legs to the seat shell with 4 sets of screws. One man job in minutes, very easy. I will buy 2 more from the same seller.

***UPDATE 4/3/16***Ok so I felt this warranted a follow up review. I'm really upset with the overall longevity and sturdiness of these chairs. We've now had 3 of the 4 we bought collapse and bend severely. The weak link is the base. They've used the cheapest, weakest metal that bends with even moderately sized people sitting in them. They were not being abused, just normal everyday sitting. Unless you all weigh no more than a buck twenty I probably wouldn't chance it................................These are a great way to add a mid-century modern flare to any space. We bought 4 to put around a dining table and they look awesome!These are not the sturdiest in the world. We've had some larger people visit who opted not to sit in them because they do flex a lot. The plastic is definitely not as sturdy as the original fiberglass ones but at literally a tenth of the cost I can't complain too much. Several of the screws kept coming out of the bottom. A little loctite fixed it though. We liked that they were easy to clean which, with kids was a huge bonus.Overall I'd purchase these again.
