Scala Men's Wool Felt Porkpie Hat

I own nearly 50 fedora hats from many manufacturers, Stetson, Goorin Bro, Bailey, Stitch, and several others. This is my first Scala and my first Pork Pie. I wanted the Goorin Bro Heisenberg Pork Pie but the $150 price tag made it a bit prohibitive. I decided to buy the Scala Pork Pie with the intent to return the hat if I didn't like it and then buy the Heisenberg hat from Goorin. Although I'm sure it is not the same quality of the Goorin Heisenberg hat, For the price it is very nice. It it well made and very good looking especially without the feather and the Scala pin. The hat is a bit on the stiff side but perfectly acceptable. I also like the snap brim feature. Maybe when the finances are a bit better I'll buy the real deal but for now this is a perfectly acceptable substitute for the Heisenberg hat I set my eyes upon.

Beautiful hat, good quality but runs small. My husband is always a size large in hats (Goorin, etc) but this “large” looked like a fascinator on his head!. Also, it arrived in a ridiculously small box that crushed the brim and put a crease in it. Hopefully the next hat will arrive in an appropriately sized box and be the correct size!

Well made. Looks great. Great addition to your wardrobe. In the US most men wear baseball caps or sometimes risk an ivy style hat. Step up to the plate and try something new with a touch more panache.

It is a nice hat and for the $$$ not bad at all. It does run a little too large but manageable

Estoy decepcionado con la forma en que empacaron el sombrero para hacer el envio.lo colocaron en una caja mas pequeña y alargada, donde tuvieron que inclinarlo, y el sombrero se deformo. como adjunto en las imagenes.es una decepcion por que el sombrero es hermoso y la calidad del sombrero es espectacular.como se puede estropear un sombrero tan bonito con un mal embalaje. mala eleccion de caja.

These Scala hats aren't what they used to be, that's for sure ! And I just noticed while examining the hat closer for my review that there is a small cut through the rim of this hat where it meets the top section. The lining is very sloppy in its installation and the rim was misshapen upon arrival. I admit it is a "okay" hat but no more than that. You're far better off looking for a quality hat elsewhere. This does not meet with my criteria for a quality chapeau. not even close for that matter. The once upon a time made excellent hats but sadly it seems that time has long passed.
