The old design’s cutter wasn’t the best since it was rounded, but it was able to work once or twice when trying to cut the plastic on top of a drink before it stopped being effective. Since this is a two piece straw that you connect to make one, make sure you wash and dry every part before use or else it may have a weird odor since there isn’t a lot of ventilation in the case. Make sure you wash all and dry the silicone tips before use as well! The cleaning brush is short, but designed to clean each small part of the straw. I originally bought this item thinking that boba could fit through the straw, but the big boba doesn’t. Pretty sure the small boba will fit, but I haven’t tried that myself yet. Oh, and if you wear lipstick or lipgloss when using the silicone tip make sure you wash it thoroughly because lip products seem to stick on, and even wiping with a napkin won’t remove everything.They also have great customer service! Ellen reaches out with every order to see if you’re satisfied with the product. I replied after she offered to send extra silicone tips and an extra cleaning brush at no charge. I also let her know that the old lid wasn’t the best at cutting and she informed me that they were updating the design. She even offered to send me the updated version once it was done and kept me in the loop with every step.

I love reusable straws and after traveling to a resort that didn't supply straws at all with their drinks I thought it time to invest in a travel sized straw.This was the third straw I tried and hands down it's the best!Pros:Not to big- holder can fit in a purse, pocket or keychainHolder is sturdy and the lid and the bottom stay firmly attached even when tossed haphazardly into my 'mary poppins bag or when attached to the outside via a carabiner.It's wider than other straws- big plus when you like smoothies, slushies, or frozen drinks. Seriously this is the best selling point for me.It's easy to clean and restore with the brush- If you've tried other portable straws, you may know how hard it can be to get them back in the holder the right way.No metallic taste!Opportunities-I am not big on the silicone lip protector. I upgraded it to something a big more sturdy.

I have purchased straws that were metal from another vendor on here, but they are skinnier. This pack is amazing! You get several colors in the silicone straws and they are bent! Then you also get 2 jumbo metal straws and those have silicone mouthpieces on them. They also have brushes that you can use to clean the straws with. Not 1, but 3!! Several friends of mine and I have been really trying to stop the use of the disposable plastic straws, and if you're looking for a gift for someone, this is really cool. It has it's own felt case too, so I can keep them clean in my desk drawer and protected or in my purse. I highly recommend these! The silicone ones fit into the drink opening in the Yeti (or non-Yeti) 30oz lids. So it's a bonus for smoothies or protein shakes because it will keep them cold. The metal ones do not, but I use those with other cups that don't have the lids.

I was looking for straws to take along when my family went out to lunch, dinner, etc so it was important to me that the straws could be differentiated (love the different colors) and that they came in a carrying case. I am able to stick the pouch in my purse and give everyone their chosen colored straw and wash them out when we return home. The only potential drawback is that they are bigger around than I anticipated but this makes it easy to drink shakes and smoothies and we haven't had any trouble fitting them in the openings on disposable lids. I also appreciate the straw brushes and feel the straws have so far been easy to keep clean.

These are awesome straws! I wanted to get on the bandwagon of reusable straws and these straws were the ticket! The wide mouthed silicone straws are great for smoothies and I would assume milkshakes too. I use the metal straws with my drinking glasses that are a bit on the fragile side and have had no issues so far. The cleaning device for the straws works well and I am pleased all around with this purchase!

These straws are perfect! I only use the colorful ones because I didn't care for the feeling of the metal ones. The texture of the soft ones are amazing and super easy to clean! Now I don't feel bad about using so many straws!

Bought these straws to replace my old straws that had ridges so smoothie gunk stuck in them even after the wash. I don't have that problem with these straws. The metal straw does not fit in the new Yeti cup lid though.

I honestly hoped that it would stay up and it collapses all the time, its frustrating but for the price, it is alright.
