Works on well water with metals.
This stuff absolutely works. My well water turns green in my hot tub after I shock it due to reaction with metals in the well water. One capful clears it up overnight.

Great for water with high copper content
Our water has a high copper content so filling the spa with tap water results in a spa that has a slight green tint to it. Spa Metal Free cleared that up after two treatments. Now my spa looks crystal clear.

Buying more...thought I'd leave a review.
Bought three different products to clear iron from my hot tub...first two were duds, but this stuff works. Not sure how. I have no rust in the tub or the filter...its just gone.

Keeps Iron and Copper at bay in Hot Tub!
Have been using this product for a few weeks now and I am cannot be happier! Normally on a hot tub refill with my well water the iron would precipitate on the sides and leave a redish ring after 24 hours of chlorine/bromine reacting with the iron in the water. Would also make my filters redish and I would need to clean them and hand wipe down all the sides of the newly filled spa. Then after a week or so the water would go a turquoise greenish colour which was the sanitizer oxidizing with the copper. Bought this product mostly to deal with the copper because of how unsightly it was. I picked this product because for the relatively low price you get ~34oz which will last a long time. 4oz on fill up, then 1oz per week. Therefore one bottle would last roughly 30 weeks (assuming one spa water fill for that long which is NOT going to happen). I have been testing going longer than a week to see how well it holds up. So far I have not seen ANY iron and no copper. The initial dose on fill up is probably the most important. Maintenance doses are probably less important. On spa water top ups I will add maintenance doses to be sure new well water is treated. I have an iron remover system on my well but it was still causing iron/copper issues in the water because even trace amounts probably ended up in the spa. Happy with the purchase! I can't imagine an easier or cheaper long term solution to this problem.
