II Classic Black Portable Cat Feeder

Bought this for an elderly person who is recovering from hip replacement surgery. This is such a simple and ingenious answer to the challenges of feeding the cat when you're not able to bend over to fill and pick up bowls for cleaning. (It would probably be helpful to people who have inner-ear or other balance problems as well.) The two stainless steel bowls are removable for quick and easy cleaning. Because the bowls are about a cup each, we bought two of these Kittykaddy Double Diners, so we could put two bowls of water in one, and dry and canned food in the other. Works just great! A great way to help an older or disabled person to continue to be an independent pet owner.

I purchased this item because I am preparing for a total hip replacement and I know I won't be able to bend down to pick up my cats bowls from the floor. It just came this morning and I'm very pleased with it already. It is light, easy to handle, just the right height and well made. My only gripe (and the reason for the one star off) is the same as others have mentioned…the size of the bowls are not great. Most cats don't like their whiskers being disturbed in the eating process so cat bowls are often shallow and even made oblong to prevent their whiskers from being touched. These bowls are deep and small. However, I did some research and found the KittyKaddy to be the best choice because the bowls are removable for easy cleaning. My cat goes to it but I caught her pawing the food and water in it which can be messy in the long run. I won't be able to bend down to clean up spilled water or pieces of removed food around it. I will have to buy other more shallow bowls as did some other reviewers which should solve the problem. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase! Recommended.UPDATE: I bought shallow stainless bowls to fit my KittyKaddy and replaced the ones that came with it that I mentioned in my initial review. My cat has no problem eating or drinking out of it. I am loving that it is so light weight and easy to use. I left the rating as 4 stars only because I had to buy other bowls. HOWEVER, the KittyKaddy is still holding up well with use, still easy to use and STILL VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE!!!

This is the world's tiniest cat feeding bowl. The creator of this product surely has the world's tiniest cat or eyes. This may work for a kitten and surely for a mouse but for a cat, the bowls are so tiny that a cat can't eat comfortably. This is also overpriced for a cheaply made product. I ended up buying the ARAD No More Bending Dual Pet Bowl on Amazon. This is made for dogs but the bowls are perfect for cats. The ARAD is also cheaply made (think of what you can find in a Dollar Store) but if you have trouble bending and you want a happy cat, the ARAD may be a good solution.

Amazing how much easier it is for the mobility-stressed to love/take care of their fur companions with this wonderfully lightweight gadget. I could've done without the yes, noisey, steel removeable bowls. I use my own plastic insert bowls which the cats lick more clean anyhow. I am an art and beauty lover, as it heals us, so I would've preferred a monochrome unit, all one color rather than the multi dayglo colors. I actually call the Helpful godsend the "Bozo the Clown feeder" as the round red knob on the handle, well, it looks like a clown's nose, not such a bad thing, but I prefer pretty/elegant. Giving the cats their medicine, measured feedings etc is now SO much easier, as is clean-up. Thank You for inventing and carrying this precious Godsend.

I guess there aren't enough disabled or handicapped or senior people who own cats that aren't aware that a product like this exist Unbelievable first off.This product the bowl holder is unbelievably feather lightweight. The stainless steel bowls when the cat is eating from them make a lot of noise they are not that snug in the holders.MY CAT has a very large head and first thing I did to test this was I put about a tablespoon of dry food in one of the cups and PLEASE BE AWARE EACH individual stainless steel bowl is a cup size not a half cup AND my big headed male cat can get his head right to the bottom of those cups. DON'T believe everything you read and don't believe what everyone is saying on the community either !!!I do love this product it looks well made for what it is and not a lot of choices online for buying products geared to those who have limited mobility which annoys me to no end. WHAT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IS how light weight it is I MUST BE THE ONLY CAT OWNER WHO'S EVER BOUGHT THIS PRODCUT that has a cat that will be moving this kitty kaddy all over the floor and now I have to tell myself over and over and over again I AM SMARTER THAN A CAT to stop it from sliding all over the floor.I don't know who invented this kitty kaddy or who manufactures it but I have a tip for them to create a NO SLIP mat that that has maybe an inch edge going all around the edge of it to keep it in place while the cats eating out of it and that doesn't slip and slide on the floor.For those people who need help putting there cats dishes on the floor and lifting them back up THIS IS A FANTASTIC PRODUCT FOR DOING JUST THAT AND FOR THAT I WOULD RATE IT A MILLION STARS. but be aware of the issues I have with it....not that im going to return just have to be smarter than my cat and use my creativity and imagination to figure something out to keep it from moving around on the floor. UPDATE: REALLY SO DISAPOINTED NOISEY BOWLS WHEN CATS EAT AND THE ENTIRE THING IS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT AND IF YOU SET IT ON A BARE FLOOR A CAT CAN EASILY MOVE THE ENTIRE KITTYKADDY AROUND. SO ITS GOING BACK TO WERE IT CAME FROM DO WISH THEY WOULD PUT MORE EFFORT INTO THE DESIGN MAKE THE COLDERS OF THE STAINLESS STEEL CUPS SNUG AND PUT A SOLID BOTTOM THAT HAS A TRULY RUBBER NON SKID SURFACE TO IT...DON'T APPRECIATE HAVING TO SEARCH HIGH AND LOW FOR A MAT WHEN THIS COULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN CREAETED ON THE BOTTOM OF THE KADDY

I have episodes of vertigo and sometimes get a little dizzy putting down food for my kitties and this is a great help. Also hoping it will help my pet sitter as she has knee trouble and can't get up and down as easily as she used to. I do wish the metal dishes were a tad larger and were a little wider and more shallow but I do have some replacement dishes that fit that make it a little easier for the kitties to eat out of. Great invention!
