Floor Joist Insulation - 24" x 125' (250 sq. ft.)

I use this insulation in one of the pre-fab steel building/garage, which looks so much nicer than the tradtional insulation. More important the cost is lower too.

Notice the description doesn't give an R-Value? That is because the R value is 1. There are very few products more worthless than foil faced bubble wrap, despite the claims otherwise. Any R values that are listed or implied higher than one include an air gap.

This is in responce to who ever was complaining about this because it has an R factor of 1. It has a R factor of 1, because as a stand alone product that what it's rated at. Now insall it properly and it will as an installed correct product its rating goes up tremendously! This product installed under a metal roof will significantly reduce radiant heat transfer, thats what this product is designed for. 1-2" air gap between metal and roof and it will reduce radiant heat by 20 plus degrees. Staple it to the rafters leave 3 or 4 inch air pocket between roof or side wall it makes a significant difference. Don't rate something you haven't used or installed incorrectly, understand what it is, how it's used. Then rate the item!
