ReadyRamp I-Beam Compact Bed Extender/Ramp Silver 90" Open 50" on Truck

I'm giving this a 5 star rating because the hardware & design are so good. However, there are some important caveats to my rating: 1) The instructions that come with it are terrible. What they say is accurate, but all kinds on important details are left out. For example nowhere does it say which side is up on the cross members. If you happen to miss it in the YouTube video, you're in trouble. 2) I was short one of the long self-tapping screws. I was able to get something similar at the local hardware store, but that should not happen and it did require a special trip in the middle of putting this thing together. 3) There are no instructions whatsoever on how to attach & use the straps. A different YouTube video saved me or I might still be trying to figure it out. 4) I have lots of pieces left over. Not sure what they are or why. The instructions did not contain a list of all the parts in the box, only those related to the ramp itself I guess. 5) The long arms of the ramp (the side rails as they call them) came pre-assembled, and that's a good thing. However, the instructions start out with how to assemble those very things. It means you should skip steps 1A though 1D and 2A and 2B. A little note to that effect would have been good and would have saved some puzzling moments.Now despite all of that, I am not at all sorry I bought this unit. It fits my Nissan Frontier very well and a lot of others don't. Once you figure it out, it attaches to the truck easily and comes off easily. I like that I can fold it up and lock it in the truck after I unload. I like that when used as a ramp, it has little side rails. Also, it was very carefully packed and I appreciated that. I looked at many other options before picking this one and I have no regrets. But really, the company should spend a little money and hire somebody/anybody to write better instructions.

Got this for a family member even after reading the reviews thinking the company must have gotten their act together by my order as so many were saying they received theirs missing parts and or instructions. But of course No luck. Missing key install parts and instructions. YouTube videos were not very helpful and after several calls to manufacturer we got the straps and part but still no instructions for install. The straps are cheap and left us looking for a better solution. The idea is fantastic and the gate/ladder itself good ( minus the cheap rubber ends) but the install and practicality of keeping in your truck regularly and securely is a complete fail.

Perfect. Exactly what i needed to save space. Ramp, tailgate extender and table all in one. My only complaint would be the straps dont hold it really tight and it moves a little in my Tacoma but it is a universal product so dont expect factory fit.

Works great also came with straps to tie down to tailgate! Very happy with this!
