Replacement Charger for MacBook Pro, 61W USB-C to USB-C Ac Adapter Power Charger for MacBook Pro 12 inch 13 inch

I honestly think this is so similar to the one that came with my mac that I get them confused. It charges quickly and doesn't get hot. It is perfect to have as a backup for on the go or at work/home (which is what I did). It is very high quality.

I wanted to get a Macbook charger solely for my backpack and this was the perfect fit. It's just like the real charger that you get from Apple. It works exactly the same as the Apple one if not better! I would for sure recommend this product.

The fit and finish are excellent. It's as close to the Apple 61W power supply as can be. The size, appearance, weight, cable length are all a perfect match. The MacBook Pro recognizes it as a 60W adapter, the same as Apple's. (I assume they're called 61W supplies so that 1 Watt can be lost over the cable).The only difference I found is that the markings on this power supply state that it supports three modes: 20.3V, 3A (that's the 61 Watt mode the MacBook Pro uses), 9V, 3A, and 5.2V, 2.4A (which an iPhone or other standard USB device would use). I looked on Apple's website for the specifications, but they don't say. A reviewer, using expensive test equipment, discovered that Apple's 61W adapter does offer the same three modes.The only downside is that I don't like Apple's USB Type-C charger nearly as much as the older MagSafe chargers, for several reasons: The MagSafe connector was much better, the cable was much thinner, and as a result of the thinner cable, it could be wrapped around the power adapter for travel. But with the USB Type-C charger, you have to disconnect the cable from the charger and wrap it separately. Of course, if you want a charger that's as close as possible to Apple's, that's what you get.But at about half the price for identical charging performance using the USB Type-C open standard, you can't go wrong with this replacement charger.

Durable and affordable are the most important two characteristics of any aftermarket apple products. As we all know, Apple products will cost you your firstborn child plus $100 in taxes. It's rare to find an aftermarket alternative that provides the same degree of quality for LITERALLY less than half the price.So if you're like me and loss your charger within the first month, save yourself some money and give this one a shot!RECCOMENDED

I ordered this charger as a 2nd one for my MacBook Pro 13" model with the USB-C charger. So far it has worked great for keeping my mac's battery juiced while I'm out and about while the original stays at home connected to my desk. If you're looking for a replacement or second charger this is a great option.

My charger block gets extremely hot when using with the MacBook open. It charges great, but if I actually open it up to use it, it gets so hot I can’t even touch it. About 10 minutes after I open up my device, I have to practically use an oven mitt to unplug it because I’m afraid it will catch fire. I read all of the reviews and I was very excited to purchase this, but I definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this for my MacBook and ended up having to buy another kind because every time I tried to use my laptop while it was plugged in - this charger made my mouse bounce curser around and it was impossible to use! I had to wait until my laptop was fully charged - then unplug from this charger - before I could use it. I wish I could return it - and didn't realize I couldn't until I just tried to.

I am always skeptical of products that are not Apple branded for my Mac but with this one I wanted to do the research to see if this would withstand charging my device. Usually you can expect any o=product outside the Apple family to fail Mac devices as they are not manufactured to uphold the same quality. That said, this charger actually looks exactly like my current device charger! Works great and I have not seen any overheating or any kind of lag. This product is high quality and just like the one that comes with Mac devices.Not being able to find compatible Apple products to the originals for a decent affordable price is what turns me off of purchasing Macs in general - to me it seems like a scam when they make you buy their accessories at crippling prices & then those products quickly break. Slight bait and switch strategy if you ask me by Apple. But having access to an affordable product like this makes purchasing apple products much more appealing!
