The Hawkchete is a survival machete developed by famed survivalist Mykel Hawke. If features a two cutting edges that will clear brush on the upswing as well as the downswing.Specifications:- Carbon Steel Blade- Black Epoxy Coating- Black Santoprene Handle w/ Rubber Inserts- Molded Guard & Pommel- Plastic Inserts- Lanyard Hole- 18 1/8" Blade- 23 3/8" Overall- Includes: Sheath Review: Heavy chopper! - I'm very happy with the performance of this machete. It was designed by Myke Hawke who is a former green beret and legit survival expert. The handle is covered with a very grippy rubber like material and is comfortable in the hand. It has a lanyard hole which I put some 550 paracord in as a lanyard though the handle is so grippy it might not be necessary. I couldn't find out what kind of steel it's made of but the blade is thick and very rigid for a machete. This makes it cut through heavy brush and small saplings like a hot knife through butter. It has a blade on both sides so it can be used as a kukri style machete or a parang style machete. It also saves energy by cutting on the fore swing and the back swing. The lack of sheath is the only major drawback. I have looked and couldn't find one online. For the $30 I payed I'd say it's a great value. It's well constructed and I expect will last many years of use. Review: Great machete - Freakin sweet tool. From trimming brush to bashing zombies this baby does it. Be VERY careful. It's super sharp and will probably happily take some fingers or even a limp if you're thinking this is some flea market junk

BUY IT you wont regret it
I don't get all these negative reviews about this machete I just got my second one today love my first one so my so I ordered another one and I dont get all these reviews saying no sheath came with my first one I ordered came with a sheath and my second I got today came with s sheath and and the steel is really hard I used my hawkchete on hard ply wood hacked through it all like a hot knife through butter leaving no dents or chips in the blade was still razor sharp after all the hacking and the design of this machete is probably better used as a weapon than a tool

Real Jungle Tool
Blade is 2.5mm thick. It was designed to be a cross between a machete and a survival choppper. That is exactly what it is. The design is innovative and can truly be appreciated by anyone who has actually had a jungle deployment. It's light & thin enough to be used as a machete, beefy enough to be used as an all-purpose chopper and handy enough to chop the head off the occasional snake. The sheath is the same quality as Cold Steel sheaths. It's durable enough to do the job of storage without breaking the price-point bank. The sheath does not have MOLLE, it only has a belt loop or a sling, but that's nothing some 100mph tape and 550 cord couldn't fix.

False Advertising.
Machete was decent quality...somewhat light weight. I am returning this item since the description clearly states Machete WITH SHEATH. NONE was included. REALLY? Straight up false advertising.
