Sports Helmet

Like many of the other reviewers, I found this helmet to be slightly big for my four year old. He's average sized for a boy his age. My daughter is seven, and it fits her perfectly. We really like the helmet itself. It's comfortable and the color looks cool. I think we're going to keep it, and it will last him for a long time.

This helmet is great. My son used to hate wearing his helmet, which he outgrew, so I got him this one. He loves wearing it so much, I don't even need to tell him to get it, he gets it himself and tells me to put it on him. It is a little big for a 4yr old, he is 4.5, but he has a lot of hair and with the extra padding inserts, I got it to fit perfect and he has room to grow.

Wow the picture online doesn’t do this helmet justice the shiny metallic green finish is stunning. We thought it was a bright neon green but it’s so much more! The fit was perfect & my gson was extremely happy with this helmet. The money we saved through HAUL was also a perk

Good product

We bought this product for our 6 yr old grandson who is just a tad small for his age and who has a fairly small head. With some adjustments, he barely made the lowest end of it fitting, and he will have much time to grow into it. Some additional padding comes with it if these adjustments don't work for you. I can't promise that the padding stays in place because we didn't have to try, but it looks reasonable and like that it might last a little while. That said, buying a helmet that requires too much adjustment isn't much good either, and it would be better to stick with a slightly smaller unit. Our grandson loves it. It is exactly as it looks like in the pictures with a satin sheen to it instead of high gloss. That means that any slight scratches that might happen as a child drops it on the pavement to run into the house won't show up easily and the helmet should look good for along time. I fully expect that short of leaving it somewhere, he should still have it in 5 years. Now if they'd make this in one size smaller and in pink, we would also impress our granddaughter with one as well.

I purchased this for my 4 year old son who wears size 6 clothing. The helmet slides back even when I add the extra little padding. I figured it would be a little big when I ordered it my only issue or that my son says the strap is uncomfortable especially when I try to secure it tightly to prevent it from slipping back. It will work ok for scooting.

I purchased the Blue Helmet for our 4-yr old and the Green Helmet for our 2-yr old. Why the same helmet for both kids, you ask? Well, even though they are 2 years apart, they are about the same size, both about 40 pounds. One is 48" tall and the other is 42" tall. The smaller one has a rounder head and the bigger one has an oval head. The helmets come with extra padding and I was able to get the perfect fit for both kids using the additional pads. They use them for skateboarding and riding their bikes. The helmets do show scuffs easily, but they don't care. The color is bright, they are comfortable so the boys don't mind wearing them.

I bought this child helmet (5+, blue) and a youth (8+, black) helmet but they are the same in size. I measured both. For my child it looks big and a little loose on a 20" head. They should add an adjustment dial on the back of the head for snug fit. What I like about it is that it is light and has many vent holes and the price. In my opinion, they should make this correction and label this child helmet as a youth helmet.
