This has turned out to be an amazing headset! And a welcome relief from the Plantronics ...
This has turned out to be an amazing headset! And a welcome relief from the Plantronics Explorer 395 I was using. It pairs beautifully and effortlessly with my HTC One M8, as it did also with the Samsung Galaxy 2 I had previously. The call quality is gorgeous! I've had several people comment on it. The noise cancelling works amazingly well! I have eaten a meal while on a call, and the person on the other end said they couldn't hear any of the noises, even with the mic inches from my mouth! I've used it while driving in my very old, very noisy (busted muffler) car, and received listener feedback that there was no effect on the call quality/listener being able to hear my conversation. I haven't been outside with it yet, so I can't speak to wind noise cancelling. Years ago I had the old Voyager Pro, so I already knew the comfort of this configuration - and wasn't disappointed! I forget I'm wearing it most of the time. As some people have mentioned, it can take a bit of effort to get the earpiece to sit in the ear canal snugly, but once you maneuver it in place, it stays put with comfort. Once I learned the new placement for buttons vs my old headset, the Legend is very easy to use, and intuitive. I love the ease with which I can mute myself, and change the incoming audio volume quickly. And one thing that I anticipated was more of a gimmick than anything, I have discovered I appreciate more than I realized I would: the voice activated call answering feature. It can be a bit annoying to hear "answer or ignore? answer or ignore?" in your head as the phone "rings", but I *barely* have to say, "answer" and the call is answered amazingly quickly! Makes it very nice for answering a call while I'm finishing up documenting a previous call. The Legend works wonderfully for Skype calls on my HP laptop (after some tweaking of audio settings both for the computer and for Skype). You have to fiddle around with the settings, to make sure you're using the headset mic and audio, but once you figure it out, it gives great sound. My boyfriend said when I switched from the laptop mic to the Legend on our Skype calls, it sounded like I was sitting in the room with him! :) I did have trouble trying to get the Legend paired to my wired desktop - sound was much poorer than with my Logitech webcam. I'm not sure why the difference in quality, but my PC is older and I'm still using XP, so these might contribute to poor audio quality when attempting to VOiP on the PC. I haven't used this headset much to listen to music or audio files, but the time I did, it worked fine - for a monaural device. I can get a good 4-5 hours straight talk time out of it on Skype calls before it tells me I'm getting low, and completed a busy, non-stop phone calls 5 hr shift with 2 hrs charge still left on the phone; it's also a very quick recharge. I haven't tested the stand-by time since I either put it on the desk stand or in the case when not in use. The case works amazingly well (and quickly for recharging), and I love the space for the Blu tooth dongle/adapter. I'm going to really appreciate this case when I do some air travel here soon. Since I bought this particular package, I'm feeling overwhelmed with recharging possibilities: the weighted desk charger (which I've really come to appreciate! soo easy to just grab and go), the case with charging station (and USB plugging capacity), the original little recharging piece (which I will probably never use), the USB/micro USB cable, and plug in unit. This means I have 3 different ways I can charge this headset, either wall plugged or USB plugge. A lot of bang for my buck with this one. :) Update 11/19/2017: After 3+ yrs now of continuous use (8+ hrs or more every day), this headset is just now beginning to not fully charge (5 hrs talk time vs 6 hrs), and starting to drop calls after about 5 hrs of use. I'm getting ready to upgrade to the new Voyager 5200, but this package was an excellent investment and I will still get use out of it as a backup.

Mobility within mobility
For the price, the Plantronics Voyager Legend UC was the perfect upgrade to my old voyager I purchased back in 2006. The call quality is actually very good compared to my old headset and the functionality is amazing. Here's a recap of why I like it: -Stylish and sleek. -Accessories in itself are worth it. The desk holder really displays the headset well and allows easy access for calls. The case actually acts as a battery pack! These accessories, especially the case, provides my mobile lifestyle with even more mobility. A mobile bluetooth headset with a mobile case?? Mobility x 2. -Battery life is very good. -UC functionality is important for my seamless integration between my iphone and my computer. -The voice-over is amazing. It is clear and concise and tells you battery life/talk time remaining, who's calling, full Siri integration, and more! -Price: Originally i thought the headset was expensive but it really has paid for itself in the functionality it has provided me in my mobile life style. -Business: It looks professional and is comfortable. I was able to help run a business with this piece while multitasking doing other things. Cons: -The price could be a con but if you get the accessories (this amazon item does), then it is more than worth it. -The headset fits well but is a little loose. I am not a large person so this piece sometimes gets loose when i do a lot of moving around. This isn't a deal breaker since I just have to make sure i'm not running on the treadmill when using this headset. Overall: Well worth the price for the headset and accessories. Bought another one since i liked it so much and wanted someone else to also enjoy it. The seamless integration with my phone and computer is something that I value greatly with this product. The call quality is great but can never be as good as the actual built-in microphone of the phone; however, it is very good for being bluetooth. Connectivity is always there and have never had a problem. If you are in the market for a professional bluetooth headset and the efficiency of a high quality company and product, this headset is definitely worth the investment. The customer support is also amazing and is more than willing to help with any problems or concerns you may have. I have my trust in Plantronics and have even purchased headsets from them for my business. Great company, great products, great lifestyle.

Excellent Microsoft Lync and iPhone headset
This headset clarity is clear and crisp. The ear piece could be designed a little bit better to fit the ear, but I had no trouble hearing from it and comfort for 6-7 hours was not an issue. This works with Microsoft Lync 2010 on a Dell PC. The only complaint is that when I have the headset plugged in using the bluetooth dongle, not all the alert sounds come through the headset. I do miss Outlook alerts and miss some Lync IM alerts. It is frustrating, but over all this works great and all the functionality for muting, connecting and disconnecting from calls is fantastic. This headset will also connect to my iPhone as well and connects to both simultaneously. This does not connect to my Android Phone and will not work! Wonderful headset with some quirks, but better than having to stay connected. I'm able to walk around now when on a Lync Call. Update: The fully charged message that it gives you that says you have 7+ hours of talk time is not close to 7+ hours. I'm on conference call from the start of the day and it's lucky that I can get 5 hours of use time on a charge. I had to keep my wired headset around to use to I can recharge this headset to get me through the rest of the day. I will have to say it does give me a full charge in about 30 minutes to I can use it for the remaining 4 hours of the day. I do not throw it back on the charger when I do have down time and it gives me some extra juice. I stil like the headset. I wish the ear pieces were a little better designed. The foam is useless and doesn't stay on the rubber earpieces. I've had to dig them out of my ears or look for them on the floor as I take the earpiece off. Overall very happy with the headset and not changing my 4 star rating. Just stating some things that would make me give it a 5 Star rating.

Well conceived bluetooth headset
This is the second one of the Legend bluetooth headsets I own. That's how much I love them. It works very well and has very clear sound. I love the way it holds onto my ear: I don't have any trouble with it staying on, and doesn't pinch. My bluetooth connection is strong and without static or excess sound. You have access to volume and several menus on the headset itself making it convenient to use, and it "talks" to you in a pleasant voice. I'll not get into menu details in this review because this is well described on Amazons page. This set came with several ways to charge it. The coolest one is the case. You place the headset in the case and the case charges as the headset charges. Then you slip the case and headset into your purse or pocket, and the case keeps the headset charged for a lot longer than the headset alone. There are two separate led lights in the case that let you check the status of your charge, one for the case and one for the headset. So super neat! I've carried mine in my purse for a while and the plastic case has no cracks or scratches, so they have used a good plastic that will withstand the rigors of what it was made to do. That is a well thought about piece of equipment. That's the kind of company I want to support.

Nightmare headset
This headset was a nightmare. First, it can only be paired with two Bluetooth devices at a time. I needed it to pair with three. Second, the feature I really wanted it for was being able to switch from using it on my computer to using it with my phone in a split second. The video and descriptions all say this is instantaneously done. Wrong. There was so much lag between switching from my Mac to my iPhone that I missed every single call. And when a call did come in, it nearly blew my eardrum out...which is a common complaint with this headset. There is no way to decrease the incoming ringer volume. You can have your phone ringer volume all the way down and this will still ring full volume in your ear. I read reviews that this headset was great for Dragon Dictation. No...no it's not. Accuracy was reduced to about 30%. If all of those issues weren't enough, it constantly unpaired from my phone or computer and it was a nightmare to get it to recognize the devices again. After a week of trying to make it work, talking to tech support, researching forums, etc...I decided it was far too much trouble than it was worth and returned it.

Not bad, but spendy for what it is.
Going from a four year old tiny Samsung unit I paid $25 on sale, I'm not as blown away as I thought by the incoming or outgoing sound quality. It's OK, it's not bad, but it's not amazing. The bluetooth range is slightly disappointing on the PC using the USB dongle, I have it paired to my Galaxy S4 and PC, can walk into the kitchen and outside and it will drop the PC and not drop the phone. Listening to streaming music on the phone it does get a little scratchy, but it holds the signal. If you stay in a car or a small to medium sized room/office it's not bad though. My expectations of bluetooth might be too high, but the aforementioned $25 unit from years ago with an old Evo 4G phone had as good a range. I was hoping for more improvement after a few years and a lot of dollars. The stand and charging case are very nice, the unit itself is comfortable and pretty user friendly. None of the ear bud sizes really seems to fit my ear canal, unless these are just not intended to seal in. It stays put with the rear part over the ear but it's not sealed in like other smaller units I've used. I can't seem to get it to easily access Google Voice Actions on my phone but that might be a phone/android issue. The presentation/packaging and overall sleekness might have actually contributed to my overly high expectations. Battery life is good, it does accomplish my goal of being able to use VOIP software wirelessly and compared to some other solutions it was pretty cheap. I plan on keeping and using it. But I'm not as blown away as I was hoping, especially for a relatively large unit.

Got it right!
Everything a Bluetooth headset is supposed to be. Works seamlessly with both Skype on the PC and my iPhone - simultaneously! The most comfortable headset I've ever owned (and that's been quite a few over the years). Plantronics has always been a leader in these products, and this is an example of why. I also own a Voyager Pro, thought I lost it, so bought this one. Thankfully, I found it so now have both. Here's where the Voyager Legend UC beats the Pro: 1: Volume - The Pro isn't quite loud enough for windy days running or on the bike. The Legend is loud enough. 2: UC - I Skype all the time, and the Legend makes that more convenient and more comfortable. 3: Controls - The Pro works great, but the controls on the Legend blow it away. On/off switch is positioned better, more tactile, and works quickly. 4: Range - I don't see a significant increase in range with the Legend, but it is somewhat better. 5: Charging - magnetic connector! Easy, quick, includes a charging/travel case. Negatives: 1: Comfort - these are by far the two most comfortable headsets I've ever worn, but the Pro is slightly more comfy. 2: Noise cancellation - The only true area for improvement for the Legend. I don't understand the top/bottom mic design compared to the inner/outer design of the Pro. The Pro is much better at noise cancellation. Overall, I'd highly suggest the Legend, but you can't go wrong with either model.

Best Bluetooth Headset I've Used
I've been using the Plantronics CS50 headset in my office for about 10 years and it is still going strong. I had no intention to upgrade, but I have also been searching for a decent wireless headset to pair with my cell phone. After some lackluster experiences with Plantronics and Jawbone bluetooth headsets for my cell phone (around 10 devices were purchased and returned), I went back to wired headsets. When I upgraded the office phones to Polycom VVX500s, I decided to look into a wireless headset systems that could connect to the phone's USB port. My business requires crystal clear communication so call quality is key. Enter the Plantronics Voyager Legend The device installed on the Polycom immediately and did not require any changes to my phone settings to be used, though I enabled "Echo Cancellation Mode" in the Polycom menu to reduce ambient noise. I then proceeded to pair the headset to my iPhone. To my surprise, the Plantronics headset is able to switch seamlessly between calls on my cell phone to calls on my Polycom. I didn't know this was a feature and it quickly became my favorite aspect of the Voyager Legend. Call quality is top notch! In a blind test, I used my wired Bose headset to call my business partner with my cell phone, disconnected the Bose headset during the call while the Plantronics was connected via bluetooth, and it switched over to the Plantronics headset while he was talking. When I started talking again, I asked him if he noticed any change and he was very surprised to find out I was using bluetooth. There was no change in mic quality from wired to bluetooth!! Another huge plus is the weight. My CS50 was painful to wear after a few hours of it hanging on my ear so I was constantly taking it off between conversations. The Voyager is light enough to forget about. Last, but not least, the accessories this package came with are high class. The hard shell carry case is actually a portable charging station that can be used to recharge the device on the go. The carry case can be recharged with any mini usb plug. There is also a super sleek desk charger that connects the headset to itself with a magnet, making the plug / unplug process a breeze. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase and hope for as many years with the Voyager as I've had with the CS50.

I own other plantronics products that I use in my home office for our softphone VOIP system but I wanted something more compact
I've been using this headset for a couple of weeks. I own other plantronics products that I use in my home office for our softphone VOIP system but I wanted something more compact that didn't require a separate power supply connection like my Savi system does. It has been a painless transition, I don't get the mega range I do like with the DECT Savi however I rarely travel far from my PC when using the phone so it hasn't really been an issue. I like that this includes many options for connecting and charging the headset from the nicely weighted and magnetic compact USB docking station which you can just "drop" the headset into when you're done and it connects itself. Also included is a striaght usb cable for charging with a mini connector which takes no room at all when traveling. And if you are really going on the road, the charging case which holds the headset AND the USB receiver which does double duty as having a built in rechargable battery bank is very well thought out and has amazing utility. Really everything you might need is all in this package. Sound quality of the headset itself is excellent for voice calls, but don't mistake this for something you'd actually want to listen to music on (I doubt many would but it has to be mentioned). Build quality is excellent as is usual for plantronics products of this type and the plantronics hub software is also excellent for giving you the device status and allowing you to configure it and integrate with many different softphone systems. I find the headset a little finnicky to get on your head in a rush when someone rings you, but I think it's mainly because I have never used a headset of this type before and it will become more natural with time. Prior to this I always used over the head band type headsets. Overall I'm very happy with this addition to my office.

I really do love it!
I purchased this headset to use with Dragon Dictate for Mac. I couldnt stand to be tethered to my computer by a wire. It works flawlessly. In addition I use it on WebEx and Skype call...again flawless. As an added bonus, it works with Siri with the same quality level as with Dragon Dictate for Mac. I don't know how many hours I have saved by speaking instead of typing. Finally it is a fantastic Bluetooth headset for phone calls. I would recommend it to anyone who asked.
